“While I’m sure there may be some good psychiatrists in this place, Dr Rao was NOT one of them. He was dismissive and refused to look into the things I asked him to. After having my first manic episode he told me I could not be bipolar and have ADHD at the same time. When I moved to a new psychiatrist, my quality of life instantly got better with a mood stabilizer. My first appointment with Dr. Rao, he told me he would prescribe me a medication for when me and my boyfriend fight despite the fact that I got diagnosed with anxiety in third grade. When I requested a new psychiatrist, I was put with Dr. Anderson after a long battle of talking with administration. She kept telling me she was not convinced I was bipolar despite having a very clear manic episode with months of depression after. I have since been treated for bipolar 2 and my quality of life went up significantly. My experience here was horrible. If you want help, this is not the place to go.”

“We have 3 kids being seen and they can NEVER send in the prescriptions. Then, they tell me it is a 48 hr wait for the 'doc' to approve what has already been prescribed. SO TWO DAYS of 2 of the 3 kids going bonkers. It has to be more organized than this. As was stated in additional reviews, they DO NOT CARE about your special needs or your insurance changes. Just deer in the headlights all of the time. The 'doc' intern is kind, but I dunno. It seems like a 3rd world sham of a medical facility. Not impressed at all!!”

“Literal game of phone tag. Finally reached them and then was put on hold for over twenty minutes. After weeks of calling, I still never received an appointment. My doctor sent a referral here, going to have to ask for a different place.”

“My son sees Dr. J and we have been pleased with his approach. I also find the staff very helpful and timely. Yes sometimes they may be very busy and you have to leave a message but they will call back and address your concerns. So no the staff is not rude. Very well run facility. I think it is important to remember that psychiatrists especially those working with youth have very important and scary job. So at times they may not seem like your best friend but that is not their job. Their job is to keep your child safe and provide a tool to help with that. Also to help them adjust in school to further their self-esteem and social skills with peers which is vital towards developing a very healthy sense of self. This can reduce the amount of anxiety and depression the child could face later in life. Also it is up to the consumer or parent of consumer to address concerns before the 6 month visit. The 6 month appointment is what he has to do to meet requirements etc but you can certainly schedule an appointment prior to that time if you have any concerns.”
