How likely are you to recommend ClientFirst Behavioral Health?
“I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC. I mentioned issues I was having with a medication to my assigned psychiatrist, and every time, I felt like a massive nuisance to her. While she is straightforward, she lacks warmth and basic politeness. Furthermore, she became convinced I was being "non-compliant" with my medication - even though every time I mentioned a minor side effect, SHE was the one who would change the prescription almost immediately, rather than advising me to wait and adjust (like my current psychiatrist does). Eventually, she refused to prescribe any more medication unless I attended therapy. Because of my specific disorder, I experience mental health emergencies more frequently than most and have a history of them. The medication I wanted changed at the time was causing such a severe negative reaction that I stopped it cold turkey just to survive, and it almost prevented me from even making it to the forced therapy appointment. The therapy experience was even worse. The therapist used a rude tone, interrupted me multiple times, and weaponized a single missed appointment against me. I had missed our very first session by one day solely because I forgot to update my phone number for the reminder, yet she insinuated that my lack of improvement was my own fault for "not attending consistently." People are allowed to go to therapy when they are ready and willing, not when forced. This therapist clearly does not know how to handle patients with emotional disorders and cannot de-escalate a situation. When I simply grabbed my keys to self-soothe during a difficult moment where I was getting emotional and exasperated, she immediately stood up and opened the door on me. I hadn't even asked to leave, but at that point, I walked out and never looked back. I never truly understood the medications I was being prescribed here half the time anyway. The ONLY positive is the administrative staff, who were always incredibly sweet. I deeply miss the previous psychiatrist they used to have, who ACTUALLY cared about people. This clinic desperately needs empathy training. The two providers I saw are entirely too bitter for this line of work. You work in MENTAL HEALTH. You CHOSE this job. You are paid to help vulnerable people function. Please remember that and DO BETTER.”
“I’ve been going to this office for years and I really really love my doctor, she is an amazing doctor and really listens and cares and always tries her very best to make sure I’m as healthy and happy as possible. I also like the other staff in the office such as one of the nurses I see each time I have an appointment and I really appreciate how upbeat and caring she is. Secretaries here are also usually very kind and helpful. I am so glad I found this office because my last doctors office was terrible and I was so upset about finding a new office to go to and having to see a new doctor.”
“Mrs Wendy is a beautiful Caucasian female, southern and salty. she speaks and displays Ora capable of crossing multicultural boundaries. I notice she freely expresses herself disregarding adversity levels, which I really appreciate. She lives her life like a humanist… Being a black man challenged often in this world I was skeptical of her ability to supply, support my needs in the beginning, after a few sessions now I feel she is the one for my care needs.”
“I have been going to Client First for over 2 years. The staff is very friendly and I have never had a long wait time. I see Asia and she is wonderful. She is very knowledgeable in her field, and I feel comfortable talking with her. I would never want to go anywhere else. I highly recommend Client First”
