What patients say on Google
“I'm thankful we got recommended from Transitional family services for a family member after aging out of there program. The process was easy, made a phone call they told us what documents to bring in and to be there 8:00 a.m. We were third in line and we were seeing by 10:30 and immediately received help and support for the family member. I appreciate the staff they were calm and courteous and knowledgeable”
“I took a friend to Clarvida (American Works) to re-apply for services. While there, I observed a new client become frustrated. The client began to cry because she was overwhelmed with the paperwork process. A lady at the front desk who later referred to herself as the "director", told the new client to go outside in 21 degree weather to calm herself down. My friend went to the front desk to turn in his paperwork. The "director" seemed to want to create a problem. We had recently updated his address with DDS however, his ID has a different address since we just updated the address online last week. The "director" wanted to debate about the name of the agency that I was referencing while speaking to her. I recently relocated here from another state, so I showed the "director" the document that I saved from DDS once the ID update was completed. That was not enough!!!! The "director" still wanted to have a debate. Then the "director" asked me if I was my friend's sister! I have no clue why she would assume that. It's as if she wanted a argument. I never raised my voice or gave her an argument. Later there was 4 people sitting in the waiting area. Out of everyone, a "nurse" approached me and asked me if I was waiting to be seen. I asked the "nurse" why she would think that! I have been working as a Medical Biller for 6 years. I have worked in different environments as a Medical Biller. I have never seen such unprofessional people until today. If a person is not severely mentally disabled, they will be after using this office.”
“My partner was referred there by Serenity due to his insurance. Went this morning and they ALSO don't take his insurance, but as he was telling the lady he'd pay out of pocket she walked off and he got no help.”
“Starting to get help can be enormously difficult, take months, years, and for some never takes place. Initial assessments involve paperwork and waiting. Today, the counselor met with a CHALLENGING friend, I had proper release completed to get a bit of information. I was impressed with my brave friend's honesty and patience that DEPENDED on getting a knowledgable, non-judgmental, compassionate counselor. I have 40 years of professional experience and know for a good professional, you often have to experience some less-than-good. The pay here needs to increase because the experience today was critical, valuable, and much appreciated.”
