How likely are you to recommend Churchland Psychiatric Associates?
What patients say on Google
“I have been seeing Dr. Sophie for years. She has been a lifesaver and someone who cares about my well being as much as I do. I don’t understand these negative reviews because most of them seem like “issues” that are unrelated to the competence and care of the office staff and doctors. I have had a great experience here over the years and would highly recommend Churchland psychiatrics to anyone.”
“I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this office was bad enough that I feel people should know before seeking care here. My psychiatrist themselves was fine, but the office administration and communication practices were extremely frustrating — especially for a mental health practice. There is no direct way to contact the front desk or your provider. The phone system only routes to limited automated options, and attempts to reach the office often result in dropped calls or no response at all. Their late policy is also extremely unforgiving. If you are more than 5 minutes late, they will reschedule your appointment and charge you as a missed visit. This happened to me due to traffic, even when I called ahead to let them know that I was held up by a train crossing, and because the next available appointment was over a month out, I was left without medication. For a mental health office, the lack of accessibility, communication, and flexibility felt incredibly inappropriate and uncaring. I will be seeking care elsewhere.”
“I have been seeing Mona Patel for about 5 months now and she has helped me immensely! She has a very kind, supportive, and empathetic nature and is very easy to talk to. She’s been a lifesaver since my old psychiatrist passed away. I never thought I would find another psychiatrist that could help me. She has adjusted some of my meds from my previous doctor and so far, I’ve been feeling great. She is also very responsive when I have had to call the office due to some side effects I was having that have now been resolved. My 16 year old son is also a patient at Churchland and sees Marla Clancy. Again, she has been amazing with my son who unfortunately inherited the anxiety/depression gene in my family history. She prescribed him Lexapro and he has been doing awesome with it and his panic attacks have significantly decreased, as well as his general anxiety. I must say, I was skeptical at first to give Churchland a try due to the Google reviews, but I’ve been nothing but impressed so far. The front desk ladies as well as the medication desk staff are a pleasure as well, and I have never had to call twice to get a prescription called in. If you’re weary due to reviews, just remember, most people only leave reviews when they have had a bad experience. That’s why I’m taking the time to write a true, honest review of my (and my sons) great experiences so far. Huge thank you to Mona and Marla! So happy we found Churchland!!!”
“Sure sometimes they run late but the care of people isn't geometry and clear cut. Make time for yourself when you have an appointment, shouldn't be in a rush. I appreciate my care provider Mr. Swirner in particular and Dr ludford as well. Appointment ladies dona good job, medicine department has been ok except on prescription they've been asked to call in for weeks and haven't 🤷 I've only had samples. Idk the issue.”
