“The Christopher House saved my life. For eighteen years, starting at age fifteen, my depression and anxiety spiraled way out of control. By the time I checked myself in at age 33, I had constant thoughts of suicide that haunted me hourly and left me dependent on drugs and alcohol as an escape solution. I drove the wrong way on I70 after I had had enough of life. As my last moment was approaching and the semi lights were flashing, something jolted my truck out of the way and I was arrested for my fourth DWI. I checked myself into Christopher House and gave it a chance. They helped me deal with my issues that I couldn’t do alone. I was released after 65 days and life has never been the same. Today, I have a purpose and a mission. I no longer even think about suicide and using drugs or alcohol. I am surrounded by other people who know my struggles, my ways of thinking, and am a trusted mentor in my communities. I want to thank the Christopher House for giving me hope when I thought I was hopeless. I am a living testament of the miracles that are reborn within these doors. Edit: They DO NOT kick people out for no reason. If someone steals they will throw him back to the streets even for $50. They will also throw someone out for violence. If someone leaves they almost always want to get high/drunk, even if they have another bed date in a month (that’s three weeks they can continue to use). I still stand with Christopher House as the best place to get your life together if you want to.”

“I can't say whether this place is good nor bad. My son has been here for a few months. He has no phone privelidges and yet they also refuse to give his family any information on how he is doing when we call. Its very concerning. Seems cruel and inhumane for all parties. We hope to hear from him soon.”
