How likely are you to recommend ChristianaCare Behavioral Health at Elkton?
What patients say on Google
“Been trying to schedule an appointment for a couple of weeks. Evidently, there is only one person in the office with the power to schedule and if she isn't available when you call (she never is), you have to wait for a callback. She did call me once but I was on the road and couldn't take the call. But I have called back twice since and and am still waiting for another call. Not good! Do they even want new patients? Doesn't seem like it.”
“I am only giving them a 1 because I can't choose zero. They are unhelpful, demanding, they invade your privacy with constant urine tests, they will hold your meds on a whim, and they will bring you into their office only to tell you they can't help you. Completely wasted appointment when they had all that info previously before the appointment. Yet they bring me in and get my copay before they tell me they can't help me. If you want to get caring mental health treatment, this IS NOT the place. Nothing like finally reaching out to be treated with judgement by the staff, when I'm coming in for completely normal anxiety treatment. I can not believe the way I was talked to in the intake, only for the nurse practitioner Rebecca Larson's to tell me their practice wont help me and my completely mundane issues. If you want help, or even just respect, then do not go to Christiana Behavioral Health located in Union hospitals medical arts building.”
“If I could give zero stars, I would. My 81 year old mother was having severe anxiety. Her primary doctor gave her Ativan which was helping and then referred her to a Nurse Practitioner at this place. The Nurse practitioner was rude and uncompassionate. She took my Mom off Ativan with no taper which put her through withdrawal and she ended up in a mental hospital for 3 weeks. She now has a psychiatrist who put her back on the Ativan and increased the dose, saving her life. The rude Nurse practitioner does not see patients as individuals, only as text book. I can't imagine how or why this woman ever got into a psychiatric practice.”
“The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately after Dr.Yu left the practice had trouble securing a full time provider - but call any behavioral health / psychiatrist in this area and you will find they have a wait list / are not taking new patients. Psychiatrist are very hard to find in Cecil county area. The front desk staff has been more than helpful with the change up of providers and keeping me comfortable with getting acclimated to new doctors. Yes sometimes my paper scripts take longer to receive but this is NOT due to the front desk staff, Dr.Ahmed was following a 72 hour refill request that as patients we signed and agreed too so he would often take up to 3 days to print the script. He has now left the practice. I would recommend Union Behavioral Health as they have been extremely helpful in treating my depression and would not be here today without their help.”
