How likely are you to recommend Christian Counseling Associates of Western Pennsylvania?
What patients say on Google
“My experience with this process was very disorganized. Mark Pappal was my counselor, and the intake alone took two full days. By the time I finally had my first actual session, the initial issues I sought help for had already mostly resolved themselves. I never felt like I received real guidance or support. During sessions, he often seemed distracted and appeared to be reading things online while I was talking. Most of what was covered during the lengthy intake had little to no relevance to the issues I was currently dealing with, making the entire process feel like a waste of both time and money. What hurt the most was when I finally opened up about a major issue that made me feel vulnerable because it crossed personal Christian boundaries. After that conversation, he never reached back out to schedule another session. I even asked for available days and times to continue counseling, and I never received a response. It honestly felt like once the topic became uncomfortable, I was no longer worth helping. Finding a therapist is already difficult enough. If a therapist seems more focused on checking boxes during intake than actually getting to know you and helping with your current struggles, I would encourage people to keep looking until they find someone who genuinely listens and cares”
“I saw the pamphlet for CCA in the back of my church on a Sunday after service. I decided to call and make an appointment. I had been to counseling before, but not with a Christian background included. This was one of the best God led decision I have made. I was very comfortable and felt like I was in a safe environment immediately. As I attend my sessions, I have received many tools and techniques to help me on a daily basis with my anxiety. I am very thankful for CCA and my God loving counselor.”
“I am still very new but I like my counselor. She even informed me of when she would be off. That is a plus in my book. I like that we are able to just do 2 sessions per month due to affordability for me and she is willing to work with that which is appreciated”
“it was my first visit so we dealt more with admin things than issues but I liked the counselor. looking forward to next visit to start talking issues”
