How likely are you to recommend Chicago Behavioral Hospital?
What patients say on Google
“I’ve been in outpatient treatment/medication management under Anthony Quesada for multiple years, and I very much appreciate his listening skills regarding how to move forward in treatment. He has always been easy to speak openly and honestly with, and he notes the importance of prescribing medications according to the patients current needs, as they can change over time. Our professional rapport is thoroughly appreciated and I feel well supported under Anthony’s care.”
“I stayed at this hospital about a year ago. I was lucky to be on the women’s only unit because I heard from other women who transferred from other units that it was better than the other ones. What I loved about being on the women’s unit was meeting such kind people. Women who understood and could sympathize with your pain. The group of women I was with were uplifting, we braided each others hairs, we watched movies together. I think it’s such a healing thing to have others around you that can relate to you and make you feel less alone. The staff on the women’s unit were very nice. Especially Miss Andrea and Isabella. Their kindness shined thru my darkness. They deserve the world for being so amazing! My only complaints were how uncomfortable the beds were. I also wish they had more 1 on 1 time with a counselor rather than a social worker/case worker. I felt like I needed a professional to confide in with my feelings. My psychiatrist was pretty invalidating of my mental health experiences. He stated that I needed to just “move on” from what I was going through. I understand in Psychiatry the purpose is to just give meds but It’s also important to show empathy and compassion for patients. I got more empathy and compassion from the women in the unit and the MHTS. Overall, it wasn’t a bad hospital. It helped me get through a hard time and stabilize me. I’m grateful I got the help I needed.”
“If I were in some type of self emergency with my health this is the place I prefer to go to I love Sheila and Jarvis, there is this one lady though that runs me wrong not sure why she's always yelling at them nelly I think. Choose cbh though. My Doctor, Chimata was wonderful. I had a residential program after, made it there and it was truly a shame what happened there. I had/have some type of issue with my phone as well, unsure if it's fully resolved yet. Thank you again though Chicago Behavioral and many of the Mht staff, Marilou and jojan.”
“My experience with CBH has been really positive. I was able to get the care I needed for my mental illness both on the inpatient level and the outpatient level. I was an inpatient twice and they gave me all the medications, food, and activities I needed. I preferred my first inpatient stay because they gave me a notebook to write all my feelings and drawings in. I also liked the snacks they gave me in inpatient. Then with outpatient services, I liked that I could receive my injection in a timely manner at the outpatient clinic. One outstanding member of my care team that I would like to single out is Anthony Quesada, who helped me receive medication I needed in the outpatient setting. He put my medication in the fridge and made it available for injection when I came by to the outpatient clinic. Also, he schedules my outpatient appointments at my preferred times and checks on me to see how I'm doing at least once a month. Additionally, I want to thank the nurse who gave me the injection. I would recommend this behavioral hospital to anyone who needs help getting along with the people in their life, as that is exactly what CBH helped me do. One thing they could do better is to give everyone a notebook on both sides of the floor because it helps to write about our experiences and is another outlet for expression.”
