“I honestly don't know if I can really say anything good about this place. My husband was hospitalized for a mental health crisis and a crisis intervention team from CIBH showed up at the hospital to talk to him. We received a bill a few weeks later that didn't have our insurance applied so we were able to get a hold of someone to give our insurance information. Fast forward a few weeks and we see that the insurance was billed out of network instead of in network (even though the hospital was an in network provider). We both tried reaching out multiple times to the billing department and would only get the voicemail. We never received any call back. After many attempts to get the bill corrected either through CIBH or insurance, we finally got transferred to a supervisor after stating that the billing department never calls back. THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART. We were informed that since no payment was received within 90 days, the account was sent to collections. We received absolutely no notice about this or any kind of warning that accounts are sent to collections after 90 days of no payment. No warning on a bill, no final notice, no phone call. Just straight to collections. Again, we were trying to get the bill corrected, we weren't just not paying a bill. This is a place that treats people during a mental health crisis. They should absolutely NOT be sending people to collections the way they do with no notice. If one mental health crisis wasn't enough for you, try dealing with their joke of a billing department and you may end up having another mental health crisis. I cannot stress enough how unethical their billing and collections practices are.”
“My son has been going here for almost three years. The first time we went for intake and such he was so nervous and so forth . The intake person made him feel so at home and comfortable. His pyschiatrist is Dr Tillpia . Dr Tillipa truly cares about my son and seeing him get better ( he's bi polor , Adhad and depression). Even after at one point they couldn't help him.and he had to go see anothore doctor they still checked on him. MS AMANDA IS A GEM. SHE IS LIKE FAMILY. without Chesapeake Behavioral me and my so would be so lost on learing how to live with his conditin..”
“My 1st experience with this office was last week. I really appreciate the staff treating me with respect and compassion. Thank you!”
“I don't understand these negative reviews. I came here in August for severe depression. I was seen immediately and referred to Herons Cove next door. The care I received there and at CIBS was outstanding. I have since began therapy here, and my therapist is caring, and very professional. The staff is always friendly and courteous. This place was a lifesaver. Keep up the good work.”
