How likely are you to recommend Centerstone Behavioral Hospital and Addiction Center?
What patients say on Google
“I was misdiagnosed at first but that was hell, refused meds as it felt wrong. Got the correct diagnosis with a private Psych with Centerstone after Jail had me set up. The Hospital is GREAT for getting out of the house if you’re a people person like me, at the end of the day you may want a private psych as it’s easy to get lost. Use the Hospital for stays and peace and use a private Psych for Meds.”
“do not go here & do not send your kids here. i was illegally sent to the pediatric ward as a child. when my mom tried to get me out, they threatened her telling her i would end my life. the staff was verbally abusive and they did not separate sexually aggressive patients from other (especially younger) patients. the staff was also very verbally abusive. they used racist and homophobic slurs against minors and bullied us. they made fun of a 13 year old girl for not shaving when she’d been there for 3 months and obviously was not allowed razors. they also put me on meds before evaluating me and severely misdiagnosed me. they put me on an antidepressant immediately once i was admitted, i think i saw the psychiatrist once and he basically just asked if i was in psychosis. i was only evaluated when i left. when they DID evaluate me, they diagnosed me with adjustment disorder (which i didnt meet criteria for whatsoever) along with depression & anxiety. it actually ended up being undiagnosed autism and adhd, which they would know had they done a proper evaluation.”
“This place is awful. One of my family members was there under the baker act for four weeks. NO ONE tried to call her family for her. Complete lack of communication from staff. When she was finally released- she was so over-medicated she could barely walk or talk. She says she was given aggressive ETOs. She was not stabilized there at all, in fact, she’s utterly traumatized. Shame on all of the staff- medical AND administrative. SHAME.”
“ive been working with centerstone staff for 4 yrs now. They have kept me safe, engaged, and travel to my home every week to deliver meds and check on me. I even have access to their psychiatrist by text and he is extremely accomodating and friendly. Very helpful.”
