“I was looking for a new therapist and unfortunately did not have a good experience with this office. For starters, the hours listed on their website and voicemail were inaccurate, which made it difficult to even get ahold of someone. Then, within the first minute of our conversation, I was asked for a credit card. As a new client just trying to get information and see if the office was a good fit, that immediately left a bad taste in my mouth. There was also a lot of confusion regarding my insurance coverage. I was repeatedly told information that turned out to be incorrect and was quoted a high out-of-pocket cost because of it. After the call, I contacted another therapy office and they were able to verify my coverage right away with no issues. Finding a therapist is already stressful enough, especially when you’re reaching out for help. Instead of feeling supported, I left the interaction feeling frustrated. I also found the staff to be rude and dismissive throughout the process. Overall, I chose to go elsewhere and had a much smoother experience. I hope this office can improve its communication and the way it handles new clients.”
