What patients say on Google

“As a professional in the field for over 25 years - I find children are significantly over-diagnosed / misdiagnosed at the Westchester location. The center doesn't fully understand sensory processing difficulties and the impact it has on children. As a result, children with motor planning disorders (dyspraxia) are misdiagnosed as being on the spectrum. If children with sensory processing disturbances receive therapy from a skilled OT they can significantly make gains in their social skills, language, and play skills. A child with dyspraxia can look like a child with significantly impaired social & behavioral functioning however, with the right skilled OT sensory intervention the trajectory for the child dramatically changes as they can begin to play, interact, communicate and socialize like a typical happy engaged child.”
