How likely are you to recommend Cedar Park Physician Associates - Cypress Creek?
“Always have a good experience here - the labs/blood draws are well done (no pincushion! ) and everyone that works there is nice and helpful and knowledgeable. I appreciate that I have a primary care person who can help manage multiple stable conditions and is aware of all the things I have going on! Thank you for being a great doctor's office!”
“I don’t want others to experience what I have here. I really wanted to like this office but the poor communication and unprofessionalism has made it difficult. It’s hard to get in with Dr. Cassidy even being an established patient with a known diagnosis we had talked about before. I tried to contact the nurse line for prior authorization information they needed but didn’t receive a call back even after 4 weeks of leaving multiple messages. I had another issue but Dr. Cassidy wasn’t available so I saw a PA, Melanie Fulk. I wrote down the prior authorization information to see if she could pass it along to Dr. Cassidy or make me a patient case but she refused to even hear about it. I couldn’t get in touch through the nurse and have EMR has issues with my account since I have multiple athena accounts. Melanie didn’t examine me or touch me her PA student did. I spent 40 + minutes to feel unheard, dismissed and mocked being told “it doesn’t work like that” as she rolled her eyes when I gave her the referral information my insurance had told me to provide her. To prepare for my appointment I had called my insurance to get a specialist in network but didn’t have the exact NPI of the provider because my insurance specifically had told me it was the facility not the NPI. I had the fax number prepared and the referral went through but not without her negative commentary. It’s difficult to get to the front desk even with multiple phone trees. Dr. Cassidy’s nurse was able to help me set up a patient case only after showing up in person to ask for some kind of assistance. After 2 months of failing the preferred option to go back on my old medication that worked for me I needed to try to get another PA submitted after failing the preferred option. Given the issues I had previously I decided to try to make a virtual visit so I could give her all the information. Her virtual slots are during lunch so when I saw the clinic’s address listed for the location but it was during a virtual slot I thought it was because it was her home clinic. I had scheduled it as a virtual visit but even after confirming the appointment and doing check in I hadn’t received any link. I had waited weeks for this visit. I called the office after paying my copay, but again, went through a phone tree to get to an off site patient advocate. She called the office and contacted the staff 3 minutes before my appointment to tell me that Dr. Cassidy doesn’t do virtual visits for my type of issue. I only needed the form filled to get back on the medicine I knew had worked for me in the past so I asked if I could make it a virtual visit about mental health or a paperwork discussion alternatively I could have made it in person before the late period. Unfortunately I was told Dr. Cassidy had left the office and was at lunch. At 12:04 which was well before their late policy for my appointment at 12:00 that had not been rescheduled or canceled despite the office having my chief complaint for weeks. I shortened my own lunch break for this and then spent the rest of lunch break trying to get my copay refunded or some clarity on why this had happened. At no point did the staff reach out to me to check in after all of that or inform me before the time of the appointment even though the patient advocate said they would. I still had to pay my copay then spend another 30 minutes trying to talk to someone to get my copay refunded which now may take up to 5 business days if there are no issues. I feel like I’ve been failed by this office 3 separate times after giving them another chance. I cannot trust that I will be taken care of and the delay in my medication is another frustration that is directly impacting my health. I would caution anyone who has to deal with medication denials, prior authorizations and vital medications from establishing as a patient here because delays and apathy make getting the care you need much too difficult.”
“Dr Cassidy is a terrific doctor. She’s calm and knowledgeable and has a lovely way of putting her patients at ease no matter what they come in for. She’s extremely thorough. Her staff is very efficient. The CP location is super convenient for an area of Austin that is growing rapidly.”
“Long wait times and prescribed ineffective medications for a sinus infection that I later learned are not recommended as first line anymore. I ended up having to go to urgent care over the weekend anyway. Very disappointing and will not be returning. Front desk etiquette could also use improvement. They shut the lights off like they were closing down while I was in the waiting room, it was really awkward. A smile also goes a long ways. (I wasn’t going to leave a review but they keep emailing me to leave a review so here it is. I wish the service was as thorough as their follow up to leave reviews 😉)”
