How likely are you to recommend Carolina Dunes Behavioral Health?
What patients say on Google
“In January our daughter was transferred to Carolina Dunes. We, her parents, had travelled from to be with her, to support her and to take her back to her home for further recuperation once she was discharged. From our first visit with her at Carolina Dunes we were touched by the kindness and compassion of every person connected to the facility that we encountered. Whether it was the receptionist, nurses, nurse practitioner, or therapist, we were treated with respect and consideration. Our daughter later confirmed our impressions with regard to her treatment while she was there. We felt that our daughter was safe while in C.D. which was foremost in our minds, but also the cheerful staff with their warmth and humor hastened her recovery. We would recommend C.D. without reservation.”
“I was placed there in July 2025, they did not help in anyway. It was only the other patients that helped me at the time I was 12 and I had been placed because I tried to kill myself, they didn't help nor did the therapy. While the nurses were nice and caring the part of where you need mental health care was completely ignored, I would not send your kids here”
“Back in November 2024 I self admitted myself. Before I went I thought this place would really help. In reality it made everything worse, this place is like a prison. I told them my history with grown men and the administrator looked me in the eye and told me I have to suck it up and threw me in a ward with grown men and women. I was so scared and constantly crying every night and instead of help the workers got MAD AT ME. On my second night there an older woman came into my room, shut the door and refused to let me out and the workers did NOTHING. On my third night they had to draw blood for some reason and the “nurse” kept messing up and left my arm extremely bruised. I only talked to a therapist ONCE….and when I talked to her it seemed as if she was mad at me because she had to work ?? This place is a prison and I will spend the rest of my life working to get it shut down”
“Ive been here and In all honesty its not bad they had therapists to talk and helpful only cons no phone or any personal stuff but beside that I sometimes wished i could stay longer there before i got discharged”
