What patients say on Google

“I am surprised there is such a fantastic facility like this place in Fayetteville, NC. My 5 day stay there was exceptional. The nurses were top notch and took very good care of me! Same with the doctors; top notch and took very good care of me as well. On top of the wonderful care by the doctors and nurses, the staff feed me 3 hot meals a day; carried in by an outside facility. I was able to choose what I wanted for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition, they had snack 3 times a day, between breakfast and lunch, lunch and dinner, dinner and bedtime. I was quite miserable during my stay and everyone who worked there did their best to insure I was comfortable and okay. I am sure there are others like me that forgot to post just how wonderful this place is, right here in Fayetteville, NC. I can’t thank the staff enough for everything they did for me!!! From a 1 to 10, 1 being the worst, all the workers get a 10. I’m just so impressed and thankful for all of them!!”

“Do not bring your loved ones to mental health in this hospital. The doctors are incompetent and they don’t care at all. Your loved one will by no means get the help and services that they need here . After about 4 days a seriously mentally disturbed person that is not capable of taking care of themselves, ( unbeknownst to me) is just thrown to street with no means to get to a safe place. I am beyond frustrated and SHOCKED at this facility. It’s a complete joke! They never listened to the information I provided them with. Letting my loved one go after saying that he would be kept another night and would have doctor call me in the morning. That was a complete lie! They were told that he was not able to care for himself, also he’s got severe health issues none of which were addressed! They failed in every sense of the word. 0 stars”

“They didn't help me at all. In fact I was threaten with legal opposition because of my situation and conditions. The I ne who has all justice will have it. Matthew 25 talks all about it. Just a minor problem Mr. Shelton.”

“My child even though she has a very new & challenging mental health background she was met with proper care & love from the staff at Dorothea Dix. It’s very trialing to have to entrust your child in the hands of other people whom you’ve never even laid eyes on. But I was able to rest well knowing she was properly cared for here. I called so much they knew my number by heart but I was always met with respect from the staff over the phone. & if anything happened they were in contact and keeping me well informed an involved in my child’s care. I personally had good experiences with everyone here from the doctors to nurses all the way to the administrative staff and social workers. Thanks from our family to you all.”
