What patients say on Google

“Their central call center is a joke. I've been using Burrell for 2 years, and it seems like something always goes wrong. Either you never receive the call, or the online video appointment doesn't work. The most frustrating part is that you can't contact the clinic directly when there's a problem. Instead of resolving the issue, you're forced to go through endless phone menus trying to reach someone who can help. Then, after spending all that time trying to get connected, you're told you're late for your appointment and need to reschedule. I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you want to avoid the frustration.”

“Burrell's policies are ableist and restrictive, with little consideration for executive dysfunction and no flexibility for missed appointments or medication refills. I have suffered significant withdrawal side effects from extended periods without medication. If I could fulfill their requirements outside work hours, the issue might be resolved. However, these policies threaten my employment if I need time off for drug tests and/or lack the medication essential for my job performance.”

“My experience here at the clinic was 5 star, up until they CLOSED, they are no longer offering counseling services. I tried to call the number to see about getting records (I am certain they have to retain records for some time, even if they close up). I have left messages and emailed and over a week later still have had no response. I have no idea now how to get those records and I understand that the therapist no longer lives in MO. so dead in the water. I may contact some sort of state office to see where it goes. Even though they close up they still have to make a way to have records available.”

“HIPAA violations, medical chart violations, medical diagnostic violations, patients rights violations. You know it this company does it! With gusto! They actually love ruining people lives and intentionally making them harder. This company failed to send documentation of completion of services (required by law). Then the nurse for Dr Brooks is so grossly incompetent that she can’t figure out how to send a prescription somewhere else. She also doesn’t know that she’s required to return a phone call with 48 hours instead of 6 days. When you do hear back from her you will be met with nothing but stupid word after stupid word that falls out her mouth (Id say it’s how she talks but based of her slurred speech there’s definitely substance abuse issues there.) Next you have Melissa who can’t even send over treatment completion in a timely manner resulting in several mental health crises as I was threatened with being arrested. After that because Melissa is incompetent you get to be on the phone with Andrew in Records (not to mess with the theme: also grossly incompetent.) Who thinks it’s appropriate to hang up on patients in a crisis. The lawsuit I am going to be bringing against this place for 1st, 2nd, 6th, 8th, and 9th Amendment rights violations, loss of enjoyment of life, mental trauma, as well as distress is going to mean I won’t have to work another day in my life. Buckle up because it’s going to be rough. Even more disturbing is Ted making young queer men on Grindr even though he is the one doing classes for those individuals for various substance abuse issues. I have screenshots of that.”
Sincerely, Yours
