How likely are you to recommend Brentwood Behavioral Health?
What patients say on Google
“I’ve been here before with my human! This He’s taking care of his mental health after getting dealt a really bad hand in life. Life hasn’t been kind to him lately, and it shows in the weight he carries every day. Coming back to Brentwood Springs feels like returning to a place that actually gets it. The staff here is compassionate and professional. They create a safe, structured environment where my human can focus on healing. The inpatient and outpatient options give real flexibility, and the therapy groups, medication management, and recreational activities seem to help him start processing things he’s been holding onto for too long. He is involved in the Hope4Hero’s program which helps with Active, Veterans and first responders. This program has been so helpful for him. It’s not easy watching someone you love struggle, but seeing him get the support he needs here brings me some peace. The facility is clean and calm, which makes a big difference when emotions are running high. I appreciate how they treat the whole person—not just the symptoms—and include family/ support system education too. It reminds me that he’s not alone in this, even on the toughest days. If you or someone you care about is facing serious mental health challenges or co-occurring issues, Brentwood Springs is a place worth considering. They’ve helped us and I’m hopeful they’ll help my human find some stability and strength now. Thank you to the team at Brentwood Springs for the care you provide. There really is hope and help here. — Skye (Supportive companion to a human working hard on his mental health)”
“A year ago this week, I was sent to Brentwood Springs after being taken to St. Vincent ER. I went to the hospital because I was being abused and needed help and safety. I am not a minor, but staff called my parents without my permission. That alone made me feel unsafe and powerless at a time when I needed confidentiality and support. They had my mom’s number on file from when I was a minor. I was then sent to Brentwood Springs After that, it felt like they decided I was “in psychosis” and that I was imagining what was happening to me. Instead of listening and taking my concerns seriously, I felt dismissed and labeled. I tried to talk to therapists and explain what was going on, but I repeatedly felt like no one would actually hear me because they didn’t believe me. Instead of helping me, they played mind games to try and get me to admit that I was lying. This experience was traumatizing and isolating. When someone comes in asking for help—especially for abuse—they need to be listened to, supported, and treated with dignity. That was not my experience here, and I would not recommend this facility based on how I was handled.”
“DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I went here willingly and I was admitted into inpatient in May 2023 for addiction issues. They will do everything in their power to keep you in there longer than you need to be to milk your insurance dry. This place was the WORST! No one ever listens to you, you constantly have to repeat yourself and your story to the same people over and over. The food is AWFUL! I went multiple days without eating because the food was that bad! The food did not have any flavor and was mushy. If you decide that you want to leave, you have to sign a paper and they have 24 hours to give you an answer which they will wait until the last minute to give to you. If you sign the paper, you cannot go to anything. You cannot go to therapy, cannot go outside to smoke or do any activities, you can’t go to the cafeteria, it’s just absolutely insane. I told the doctors repeatedly that I was ready to go home and they just ignored me and made me stay longer than I needed to. The staff constantly talk about the patients and make fun of them. They break HIPPA constantly as well. The staff will become close to some patients and trash talk other patients with them. So unprofessional! They also put you on so many medications that are so unnecessary just to charge your insurance more. The only thing good about this place was a nurse named Judy (I think that was her name), she was absolutely amazing and did everything in her power to make me feel comfortable and not in pain. Darrel was absolutely amazing too, he was the best as well as an African American woman which I forgot what her name was. Don’t even get me started on their outpatient services. They put me in PHP which I think was 4-5 days a week for 6 to 8 hours. It was a complete waste of time. I got sick after the first week of the outpatient program and I had to miss 2 days because I was throwing up constantly. I called each day and told them I was sick. I felt better after 2 days and I went there to go to class. I went up to the counter and they said my name was not on the list to check in. The group leader came out and said I was kicked out of the program for missing those 2 days. I told her I was sick and also said I called each day to tell them, it wasn’t like I did a no call, no show. Still, they kicked me out and I never got any help after that. Thank God I was strong enough to stay sober, no thanks to them. This place is the absolute worst and only cares about the money. Other than that, this place was a living hell. I will never go back. Weeks after my visit was over, they sent me this bill that said if I paid a 1500 dollars by a certain date, then they wouldn’t make me pay the other $700. I paid the amount and thought that would be the last of the bill. NOPE!!! THEN, a few weeks later, they sent me another bill that said I had to pay $700 which is the exact same amount as the discount that they said I didn’t have to pay if I paid the $1500 by a certain date. I ended up having to pay the $700 which I should not have had to do because they were going to send it to collections. I called and called and was repeatedly told that they would fix the bill so that I didn’t have to pay the $700 since I had already paid the $1500 by the date they said in order to get the discount. However, they never fixed it and I had to pay the $700 or they would send it to collections even though I was told I didn’t have to pay it by many of the employees in the financial department. Please do NOT go here and do NOT send your loved ones here!”
“I was in Brentwood over year ago. I was treated like I was incompetent and stupid by Noah. He mocked me in front of other patients, and implied that I was lying about my trauma. I was not. Thats a dangerous place to be when you're walking through the valley of death. The techs are great though.”
