“This office did a bait and no switch technique that really left me feeling empty and deceived. I spoke to the office manager to set up an appt. with Dr. Branch. She asked me the reason for bringing my child and after a detailed explanation she said she wanted to set me up with Erik Banda. When I said I wanted my child to see Dr. Branch because this was a complex case, she said that would happen after Erik did the intake, and that after two visits we would be set up to see Dr. Branch. This was all a lie. Erik is a nice guy but he is not a doctor and when I brought up what the office manager told me he seemed confused and surprised and basically tried to say he could do whatever Dr. Branch could do. On top of all this, instead of him talking to the office manager to sort out the miscommunication, he said I should call, so I did and again the office manager assured me she was right about the plan we had discussed, but then basically said that Dr. Branch's schedule is very busy and she can't guarantee an appt. anytime soon, I said that's fine just find one and let me know. After three weeks of waiting she never called me back, so I cancelled the follow up with Erik as after two visits we made no progress and I had already paid about $500 for two office visits and all he did was refill medications my childs prior psychiatrist prescribed even though I told him the medication is not effective in this case. I could go into more detail but what's the use, I'm not going back, but if the office replies to this review to say I'm lying then I will say more. I was lied too, plain and simple. The office manager has been told I'm assuming by Dr. Branch to triage any new patients and if the patient falls into a certain "category" that she doesn't want to see or attempt to treat then the manager assigns you with an NP or PA. Everyone talks about the importance of mental health and children and I have yet to find child psychiatrist that is willing to put in the time and effort but I will keep looking until I find someone who does psychoanalysis and who actually wants to their job instead of pawning off difficult cases to their under studies.”
