The three-month program has had a profound and lasting impact on his development. During his time at Brain Balance, Lukas participated in a variety of exercises and activities that addressed his primitive reflexes. The expertise and guidance of the staff were invaluable. “I am so grateful to Dr. Lynn and the whole team at Brain Balance in Plainview. I finally discovered this center after years and years of struggling to get my son the help he needed. Since kindergarten, I knew something was off with his thought process and he began to develop physical tics and anxiety. The doctors would just tell me to ignore them and it will go away, he will outgrow them. I asked each teacher in every grade if they thought he was dyslexic and I had him evaluated in 2 different schools to get extra help and they would all tell me that he was just fine and will catch up soon. As the years went by, the tic got worse and he began to lose self confidence. School was difficult and homework would take hours every night. He would have to study with my help for every test, just to barely pass the tests. I felt that academics took over our lives. I knew that my son was smart, but he just couldn't put the pieces together. When I was at the end of my rope and resources, I discovered Brain Balance in Plainview. They quickly became our lifeline. They gave validation to all of my concerns and more importantly, they had the answers and tools to help him. We signed up for a 3 month program, and within one month, everyone, including his teachers noticed a change in him. He was finally comprehending and able to put the pieces together on his own. He did all of his homework and studying on his own, and it would take only half the time. After the 3 months, Dr. Lynn Continued to reassess him every month to tweak his brain balance homework. Six months after beginning Brain Balance, he began High School. Now two trimesters into high school, more confident and capable, he is an A student, making the Honor Roll twice.
