“Been treated like a druggie and it takes them days to refill meds. I have had to go without some important medications, which can cause dangerous and agonizing withdrawal effects. Have had a sleep disorder since I was 10 and recently, my body wasn’t letting me sleep for days. Literally days without sleeping. I begged for medication and was told if I feel like I’m in a “true crisis” then I should go to the ER. Was told I should just stop taking my adderall which I HAVE BEEN ON FOR YEARS and that that would solve the problem… oh but they’ll just see me in a week. Still no sleep (shocker). Was also told they don’t deal with sleep issues this bad and that I should see a sleep specialist. Meanwhile I’m left without refills. Inhumane. Wish I was joking. The real joke is bloom health. Saw the same provider again today and she just thought that prescribing me something else for sleep was unsafe. Have NEVER had an issue with other providers. Have had to take sleep stuff my whole life. I said fine if you have an issue with the meds I’m on, then REPLACE a drug I’ve been on with a different one. Your body gets used to meds! Literally no other provider in my entire life has had an issue adding or replacing a med for my sleep because they know how real my suffering is. Absolutely unbelievable. This is psychiatry. If you’re so trepidatious about meds, then try another speciality.”
