After seeing multiple psychiatrists who didn't listen carefully (or at all) and prescribed random medications without considering my medical history, finding Dr. Shugoll has been a relief. Some of the medications other doctors suggested would have been catastrophic given a prior medical condition I have. Dr. Shugoll is attentive, truly listens, and provides excellent feedback. He acknowledged that I didn't want to go through endless medication trials and respected that concern. Instead of starting from scratch, he worked with me based on what I'd been prescribed before and adjusted from there - a much more thoughtful, patient-centered approach.
