“The therapist did not show up to my child's first appointment. We never received any notice, follow up, or apology from anybody on their staff. Absolutely unprofessional. The communication was beyond disappointing. I left messages about the no-show appointment and no one ever bothered to call me back. Same for their billing department when I called to ensure I wouldn't be billed for services my son didn't receive. The most disappointing part is that they didn't even consider the fact that at the end of that missed appointment is a child who was expecting care. Given what we've experienced, I could never recommend this practice to anyone and will tell my child's pediatrician about the experience so they can consider that before referring anymore patients to them.”

“Blackbird was a life saver for us. Our daughter was going through an extremely rough period, the roughest in all her years of struggles. We had been bouncing from one therapist to the other, “throwing spaghetti at the wall”, not seeing much improvement and feeling very overwhelmed. Blackbird helped us slow down and get organized with its holistic diagnostic approach. Everyone we interacted with was highly professional, insightful and truly caring and considerate. We now have an informed and targeted treatment plan, and 5 months later our child is dramatically improved and thriving. “Blackbird promotes that they accept insurance, but when it came time for an evaluation, all of their providers did not work with insurance proviers. Our first therapy appointment was canceled just 30 minutes before it was scheduled to begin, with the explanation that the therapist does not treat children. This is something that should have been confirmed before booking, since their admin team booked the appointment for me. After that, the only appointments offered were during weekday daytime hours, which conflicted with our child’s school schedule. Overall, the process was frustrating and disorganized, and we ultimately made no progress there while losing valuable time.”

“We loved Blackbird at first. They provided our diagnosis and offered us a wonderful therapist for 6 months. No major issues to that point. Then in April 2025, Blackbird eliminated all of their part-time therapists, so we lost ours who we loved. For 6 months thereafter, I called and emailed Blackbird to inquire when we’d be placed with a new therapist. No answers to any inquiries. They ghosted us for no reason.”
