What patients say on Google

“Getting an appointment is a disaster. I called earlier in the week to schedule an appointment and was told that I have to have a referral. With my insurance I do not need a referral to see a specialist and I explained that. Then I was told I needed to talk to my insurance company and get back to them. Right after that, I called my insurance company and the insurance agent did a three-way call and explained that I do not need a referral The lady on the phone seemed a little confused and said she would have somebody from scheduling. Give me a call back before the end of the week. also, on this call, they said that they have to do a monthly appointment because it is a controlled substance for ADHD. I told them anybody I’ve seen in the past did every three months. Nope it has to be every month because it is a controlled substance. In the conversation I had with the insurance agent after the three-way call we talked about that wasn’t normal to do a monthly appointment in my experience and it could be a way to bill the insurance company every month for a money grab Today they called me back I was told before I could get an appointment I needed to have an echocardiogram and a full blood panel done When I questioned it, I was told the blood panel could be an old one, even from a year ago Then I questioned why I would need an echocardiogram The answer I got was they didn’t know they just work there I said we could set the appointment and I would bring information into them when I come into the first appointment I was told they don’t do in person appointments. It would be over the phone. When I questioned asking for a reason behind blood testing and an echocardiogram, I was then told I would receive a callback back from appointments to schedule the appointment. About 10 minutes later, I received a phone call back and I was told they did not have any appointments available I explained that it was confirmed a few days ago that they were accepting new appointments It seems that after I questioned things they do at this doctors office, they no longer had any available appointments. That includes months out. I was then told that I needed to go find another psychiatrist. In my opinion, this is questionable because in my past experience and not once has a psychiatrist asked for any of these things. From something that is routinely done every three months needing to be monthly to needing an echocardiogram and blood testing done just to get an appointment which would be over the phone. My experience, even trying to get an appointment is a complete dumpster fire”

“anytime I call, it’s picked up and hung up. I’ve been going here for over a year and would’ve given a five stars, except all the sudden they stopped taking my insurance and Refuse to cancel my appointment since I can’t afford a psychiatrist who’s not approved by my insurance. Did not tell me until my visit so I was out of meds and I’m currently still out of medication, no referrals just being forced to schedule with Beyond Psych and paying them money … apparently, they only didn’t accept my insurance for a month because our receptionist said “there’s too many people with the same insurance and next month, my insurance will be accepted again” What does that even mean? I had a death and still they were not giving me my medication that I’ve been taking for over one year with them.”

“I had a virtual meeting with Dawn today. She is one of kind Dr. , Very knowledgeable, Sweet and very easy to talk to. I was very comfortable with Dawn. This is the first psychiatrist I’ve seen in my whole life and she was really easy to talk to. I felt good after our conversation. Thank you Dawn for everything. ❤️🙏”
