What patients say on Google

“I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Beth Psychiatry. Communication was very prompt when it came to scheduling and canceling appointments. Both of my upcoming appointments were canceled very quickly. However, when I requested information about obtaining my own medical records, clinical notes, and documented diagnosis, that same level of communication disappeared. There was initially confusion about whether I was requesting records from a previous provider, even though I clearly explained that I was requesting records from my treatment at Beth Psychiatry. I clarified exactly what I was requesting and asked for the form, link, or instructions necessary to begin the medical-records request process, and I am still waiting for that information. I have also reached out directly to my provider, Ramon Bonifacio, by email regarding my diagnosis and medical information and have not received a response. The difference in communication has been extremely frustrating. Based on my experience, scheduling and appointments seem to receive immediate attention, while requests concerning my own medical information have not received that same urgency or consideration. This experience has left me feeling as though collecting payment for appointments is prioritized over addressing patients’ concerns and helping them access information about their own care. Patients have rights under HIPAA to access their medical records, subject to limited exceptions. I am aware of those rights and expect my request to be handled appropriately. If I continue to receive no response or encounter problems accessing records that I am legally entitled to receive, I am prepared to take the matter further through the appropriate channels. Patients should not have to repeatedly reach out just to learn how to obtain their own medical records or receive clear information regarding a diagnosis discussed during treatment. This experience has caused me additional stress and has contributed to an increase in the very symptoms I was seeking treatment for. If you are looking for compassionate, responsive psychiatric care, I would recommend continuing your search elsewhere.”

“I like my doctor but trying to contact them is harder than getting all my teeth pulled and getting dentures at 27. Their system went down and my meds were due for renewal yesterday. It's the next day I'm out of my medication that's a controlled substance and cannot get ahold of anyone of help for six hours. It was ten am when we started trying to fill my script, it's now almost 4pm with no responses.”

“Awful company and communication is nothing short of terrible. My doctor is lovely, but filling a script shouldn’t be this difficult. Stay away from this company.”

“Avoid them at all costs. They do not fill your medication when you need it.”
