“My counselor is the only one who cares. Management, most of the staff (other than counselors), and the company lack professionalism in terms of follow-ups, returning calls, as well as relaying important messages to my counselors. This is greatly concerning in terms of those of us who have metal health issues. We come here to get better, not be ignored. The other reviews regarding medications, scheduling, and lack of availability to actually get help are all true.”

“AWFUL! this place canceled my son's appointment and moved it to a different date without consulting us about it. when I called to find out what happened, the first person told me his therapist moved it and she was shocked that he didn't tell me why. I left a message with the therapist, who never returned my call. I called back and got a different story this time... "scheduling error"....so they rescheduled him for a month out because of THEIR Mistake. absolutely unacceptable.”

“Worst experience of my life. I have been a patient here since 2018 and lost my health insurance about a month ago. I called and talked to a receptionist and explained the situation and that in the mean time I wouldn’t be able to attend my appointments which I was told wouldn’t be a problem. I finally got back on health insurance but I got a letter today saying I am no longer enrolled as a patient at Best Self on Abbott Corners. When I called and explained the situation again I was given no sympathy and was not able to be put back under the care of my counselor which honestly is fine as she was not helpful at all. But my prescriber, I have been seeing since 2020 and has been extremely helpful in working with me to find a fitting medication. Now, I am not even able to say goodbye to her after working with her for 4 years of my life. Additionally, I will not be able to get a refill on my medication that I NEED for my multiple mental illnesses. To make things worse Effexor (my medication) has horrible withdrawal symptoms like fever, chills, vomiting, etc. They said they would be happy to re-enroll me with their services but the earliest appointment available would be mid-May. This means I will not be receiving my medication for a whole month as well as I will not be under the care of my previous practitioner. This is absolutely disgusting that a mental healthy facility would cold-turkey stop the care and medication of one of their patients who is in needs. Disgusting and unprofessional.”
