What patients say on Google

“Met with Pauline a few times and the experience was miserable. I kept up with it in order to address things initially but I’ve since transferred all of my care to DGR behavioral and they are what true medical professionals should be. This place is a joke. Told Pauline personal details that she then completely forgot about 5 minutes later. There is zero bedside manner and she basically read a list to me and then calculated a number on her computer to tell me diagnoses. There was no conversation and the approach is the last thing you’d want for someone actually struggling. For people who are supposed to be helping those with mental illness, I’m scared for the patients that would actually need imminent help. Avoid this place at all costs.”

“I have been a patient at this facility for several years now. I had a great provider until I didn't. Now it's like pulling teeth to get my meds refilled. When they did fill one of mine, they sent it to the wrong pharmacy for the wrong amount. Now two days and many phone calls it is still not done. I'm out of my med and my parents for this provider. May a visit is needed. Thanks for nothing.”

“If I could, Id give less than one star. It doesn't apply to everyone that works there, but from most of those who I came into contact with while being a patient there, it's not only ran poorly, unprofessional in the sense of things being handled in a timely manor. You try to advocate for yourself and it's a problem as well. You will try to explain the thoughts, the feelings, both mentally and physically, and there isn't much of a personable side of things. Everything feels distant which is not how a practice that deals with mental health should operate. It should be an experience where you genuinely feel welcomed, greeted as if you are a human, and treated with respect. Not one where you receive attitude for not knowing something or not knowing the right way to do things that you wouldn't normally do on the daily basis. With that being said, there are too many other places that you could go to, receive better care, receive better treatment as far as human to human interaction. I am beyond glad I no longer come here, too many times I thought of the place to be a waste of time, a waste of money, and just honestly as waste of breath. Id look to be provided with answers and tools to develope on how to cope with not just life in the current, but life in the past and the trauma and pain that circulated, but often times I was left still confused. Nothing answered, just vented. I could find a stranger in the street with a better treatment plan, a better resolution to the problems I have faced or was facing in real time. If you were considering using this facility to facilitate your mental health, don't. You deserve better. I won't ever recommend for another patient in a real crisis to come here, not until something is changed for the better.”

“My boyfriend was or is a patient there and I reached out to them out of concern for him. He wasn't no longer seeing anyone since his therapist left and in my opinion he should have been seeing someone. He was getting meds but instead of taking them he was selling them and I told them that. On top of that he got an strong pain pill from another doctor without telling them about his mental health issues well it was a nightmare for me since I lived with him. The one doctor was on board with the pain took it away immediately thank God and red flag his chart but the hell I went through with berks psycatric was a joke. He's been going there for years and he's the same in my opinion and what he told about his sessions they became involved. And that was the end for us even though it happened before us that's why he was in the state he was. So something needs to happen some kind of investigation into his affair with a married therapist and not being monitored while taking a control substance and I know for a fact who, when, where he sold most of them too. I cried for help and they did nothing because they think I'm upset about the affair that's what they were worried about. Not him not his mental health. Comes down to them not wanting to get into trouble for there complete lack of not doing anything about my concerns. He needs inpatient help ASAP very suicidal. But who cares.”
