What patients say on Google
“Our son was inpatient & in their partial program. The staff was compassionate & professional. Mariana, my son's social worker, & his psychiatrist Dr. Hicks were fantastic during his time inpatient showing him kindness & reassurance. The partial program staff was also a pleasure to work with. My son's social worker. Albert, his therapist Isabelle, & Ms. V who drives the van were supportive, patient, & beyond kind. They really work with you as a team. We are very thankful for their help.”
“My son was inpatient for a couple weeks in May. While his mental health has improved, he has told me numerous stories about staff using inappropriate language with or around the children. Or of staff not intervening in fights occuring between children. Also, the communication from the facility leaves much to be desired. After two days of him being there, they asked permission to increase his one medication he had gone in with. I agreed, but found out a week or so later, that it had never been done because they were waiting to talk to me about putting him on an anti-depressant. They could have talked me about the anti-depressant during that first call and his time there would have been shorter! They never contacted his mental health provider in the community to request a psych evaluation once home. Meaning they weren't able to get us in sooner and we cut it close on running out of the anti-depressant. Our provider has also told us on numerous occasions that Belmont is one of the worst when it comes to communication and obtaining records. I have requested his school record from the facility be sent to his school in the community at least 3x now. They school has still not received them. His grades don't accurately reflect the work he has put in. The lack of communication has made continuation of care difficult. We should not have to fight so hard, for something that is policy, to transition back home.”
“The staff members are honestly careless in regards to patients. There was urine on the ground that did not get cleaned, man eating from the trash — who then proceeded to touch on a public water pitcher. Everybody got sick, and began coughing, and nobody came to help. There were bugs and rodents, the staff yelling and swearing at patients. There was mold in the showers and the sinks barely functioned, it was unhygienic. The beds were like yoga mats, the sheets were as thin as dissolveable bath towels. My sister is sick now, she can't move from her bed. There was a handicapped man in a wheelchair — the staff have yet to help him shower and change his bed. The patients were helping before the staff members. The staff members were also generally hostile, calling the obviously mentally ill incapacitants aggressive names.”
“This place is like a prison for kids. The staff are useless and lazy they sit back and watch kids beat each other up. They only watch for entertainment purposes. They won’t get away with what has happened to my child!I thought they were helping children instead they want money. That’s why they want the kids there. Management only responds to positive feedback that’s how you know it’s true!! This place should be shut down”
