How likely are you to recommend Behavioral Healthcare Associates, LLC?
What patients say on Google
“I’ve been seeing John Shin in person for several years and he’s great. My care has been great and I’ve been stable for many years with his care, I couldn’t ask for a more attentive psychiatrist, always spending extra time and giving wisdom along with medication adjustments. Ms Adonte is a gem at the front desk, always smiling and remembering our names.”
“If you want to waste your time and money, this is exactly the place to go. Every single visit was identical, like living in the movie Groundhog Day. For two years, Dr. Shin repeated the same questions, the same answers, the same stories, and the same tired jokes without ever making real changes to my treatment. He did not listen to me as a patient and showed no genuine concern for my progress. I was required to come in every 4–6 weeks, yet nothing about my care or medication ever changed. It felt like I was there only so he could bill for another visit, not because he cared about helping me improve. I would not recommend this place to anyone.”
“Editing to add “We welcome a conversation” is bull. I called multiple times about this and even asked for an exception to be made. They don’t welcome any conversations, because when I politely called about this issue at least 3 times not once did anyone I spoke with give an ounce of understanding or indicate that they would “welcome a conversation”.. Had one of the worst days of my life yesterday (Thurs) and called to reschedule my Friday appointment at the 23 hour mark instead of 24 hours ahead of time. I was told there are no exceptions and if I wanted to cancel my appointment I’d have to pay a $245 fee. I decided to keep it and attempt to make it. With a death in the family and my cat going to the emergency vet in the same day, I, as any normal human being would, lost sight of everything else in life because of what was going on. I missed my appointment because I overslept after being awake with my cat at the emergency vet all night. I called as soon as I realized what I did and was told the full $245 fee was already charged to my card. How kind of them! This place is a money making scheme. Dr Shin asked stupid, basic questions, made me feel stupid about myself every time I saw him, and obviously was only there for a paycheck. If you want to go somewhere where they actually care about mental health, don’t waste your time or money here. To not even offer a one time exception for unavoidable life situations for people already suffering from mental health issues is insane and goes against the very core of what a mental health professional should be.”
“I’ve been a patient of Mr. Noel for a year and a half now, and always appreciate my weekly visits. Ms. Adonte and Ms. Jennifer, (the front receptionist), always greet me and make it super easy to schedule appointments in advance. The services and help I’ve received her has been essential for my life now. Thank you Mr. Noel once again and all the staff that I’ve interacted with!”
