How likely are you to recommend Behavioral Health and Education Specialists Inc?
What patients say on Google
“Unfortunately, Behavioral Health and Educational Specialists in Plainfield was not a good fit for our young child. The overall environment felt very outdated and unwelcoming, especially for a child. The office is dark, old, and worn, and it never felt like a warm or comfortable place for a young kid coming in for behavioral health support. Our experience with the doctor was also disappointing. We found the approach to be very cold, serious, and lacking in compassion. Our child began dreading appointments because they felt like they were “in trouble” when they were there. Appointments frequently ended in tears. Instead of feeling supported or understood, it often seemed like our child was being corrected or scolded more than actually helped. For a young child who is already struggling, that approach simply did not work for our family. I understand that every provider and practice can be a good fit for some families and not others, but based on our experience, I would not recommend this practice for a young child who needs a patient, compassionate, and welcoming approach.”
“Unsafe practices with letting meds run out. Staff not listening when in urgent need of med refills or urgent need to change medications due to bad side effects, and pushed medications I'm not comfortable with. Poor staff communication with both patients and psychiatrists. No way to contact psychiatrists directly and staff are extremely slow and unclear with communicating patient needs to the psychiatrists, including even openly forgetting to give vital information such as urgent refill needs to psychiatrists when out, resulting in my having to go without important meds I need and not changing doses of meds when the dose is wrong for me. Would not recommend.”
“I guess everyone can have a different experience at the same place, but I have never had an issue with BHES. The front office ladies are fantastically awesome and sweet. I see Dr. Azhar about once a month. I find him to be very understanding and knowledgeable. He can sometimes run a little behind 15-20 minutes is the most that I have seen (personally). As for billing, I sometimes run a bill between visits and they just request the payment before I see the doctor. I don't think that is unreasonable. It sounds maybe some other folks have had a different experience, but I love the people here and the doctor.”
“Dr. Azhar has been extremely helpful for me over the past few years that I’ve been seeing him. If I have any concerns I am able to just call the office and he will work with me without an appointment if he doesn’t feel that one is necessary. He can be hard to get an appointment with, but I only see him every few months so it hasn’t been a problem for me.”
