What patients say on Google

“Given all the 5 star reviews for Dr Iqbal. I had high hopes that the doctor here would help my family member with his BP 1 diagnosis. It seemed he was more focused on ADHD. I am not saying my family member is not ADHD but it was blatantly obvious he was very manic. The doctor would not listen when my family member told him none of the meds were working as they should and his mania was never controlled. He kept telling the doctor he was not sleeping due to the mania and he would change the med or increase a dose and say "this is sedating". Well the meds always had the opposite effect and this doctor did not listen. His mania increased to the point of hospitalization but we were able to talk with our primary care provider who was able to stabilize him but he really needs a good mental heath provider. I am beginning to think that does not exist in Hardin county. So now I am more worried for my family member and his mental health. I do not recommend this doctor or Baptist at all.”

“Baptist Health has implemented a new rule that if you are 10 minutes late to your appointment, it must be rescheduled. I drive 4 hours from out of state to visit my parents whenever I have an appointment with Dr. de Witt, as he is such a wonderful doctor. I get treated for ADHD, which those educated can understand affects my time management. Frankly disgusted that a health group would pass new rules to prioritize money making (the appointments are 20 minutes) over the mental wellbeing of their patients. I urge whoever voted for the rule to reconsider it and their involvement in the health field. I would also recommend they read book about the subject matter they're voting on. I would give recommendations (Laziness Does not Exist is fantastic), but I'm sure any book in the field would be a new (rewarding!) experience for them. Side note: It is important to me to note that I have always been kind to the receptionists regarding this new rule. They are simply the messengers.”

“Absolutely awful! Dr. Amanda did nothing to help me (I’m bipolar) except ask the same questions repeatedly, and put me on medication that did nothing for me. Yes I told her they were not working at every appointment! She did nothing when I expressed I’m missing work due to lack of sleep which I’ve asked her help with for 6 months now. She’s negligent and has got me to a very dark place mentally.”

“If your on medication and doing good with it, this Dr will take u off of it. A psychiatrist is supposed to help the patient not hurt them. So if u want help I do not recommend Dr Emily Newton”
