What patients say on Google
“This place is absolutely disgusting. I went here to stay at the psych ward and let me tell you, it was insanely traumatic. Why are we having people with possible SA trauma strip completely naked in front of two people and squat and cough? Is this jail? I've been to multiple wards and have NEVER had to do that. They force you to go to the ward in a wheelchair even if you can walk perfectly fine. They're insanely rude. They apparently "care" about your safety enough to strip you naked, but solid food trays and metal utensils are allowed? You know, the things that usually aren't in psych wards? You know, the things you CAN kill yourself with? My final point is, I was in this ward for a total of maybe 8 hours and all I had to say to get out was "I was being over dramatic." I had a plan going in and everything, they knew this and that one little phrase was enough for them to let me leave. I could have died that day. Also, they acted like I was a drug addict over a vape? A nicotine vape? Being 28 years old and they're acting like I'm 13 with an illegal vape. I'm also pretty sure they stuck the minors in with the adults? One person in there looked no older than 15. Why are we putting the psychosis patients in with the "less severe" mental cases? All and all PLEASE go somewhere else. Please, you will have a much better time literally ANYWHERE else.”
“Baptist health should be ashamed of themselves. Provider Allison LeBron gave me so many medications I developed serotonin syndrome. When I was initially having symptoms such as dizziness, migraine and vomiting I called her office. Her nurse named Michelle told me she would contact Allison for a medication change. She called me back several hours later and fired me as a patient. I then requested my records and found that this nurse had falsified her documentation stating that I fired them. Thank god she’s a liar because I went to my PCP and was then diagnosed with serotonin syndrome. I thought I was going crazy. The entire time I was just being overdosed with serotonin. Please, if you value your mental health proceed with EXTREME caution.”
“Went here for quite a long time virtually. In the end I was not able to attend my appointments due to life events and being practically homeless. Rather than empathizing and understanding my situation I was referred to inpatient services which is not any better for my situation. I and many others seek virtual telehealth for the simple fact care in person is not feasible in our lives. This will truly set me back not only financially but it will also be setting me back mentally having to re-establish my care with someone else. It's truly sad that I can miss these appointments due to significant life events when it's no problem that the providers themselves NCNS you as a patient. Truly a lack of empathy and care for patients. Edit: As a place that literally is meant to handle mental health you would think that the ability to even show up itself is hard enough. Much less in person. This is damaging to the care of patients. My time with my provider was also rude majority of it. While I do not care if my emotions or situations are validated or not from a mental health professional, I do seek listening and understanding. To be actively downplayed and told the situations at hand aren't as bad or make me feel they are not a big deal is an issue. To feel as though the complaints I make of my medication regime is not an issue is also horrible. I'll be staying optimistic with the fact I am leaving here and seeking my care elsewhere. I am still waiting 2+ months for my medical records that were never provided for me to move care elsewhere. This is initially why I attempted to come back in the first place.”
“Tried to get an appointment but I'm told it will be 4 months before I get to see anyone about meds. Do better baptist!!!! You can't have people out here waiting 5+ months when their mental health is at steak. You all really need to have some type of emergency appointments available, it's ridiculous that you don't seem to really care.”
