What patients say on Google

“We switched insurance at the beginning of the year. A therapist with an art therapy credential isn't that common. I searched my united healthcare app for an art therapist specifically for my stepdaughter. The app, and the website for this practice lists an art therapist who takes adolescents. My stepdaughter is well above her peers academically, she isn't typical. When I called to inquire about my stepdaughter seeing the art therapist who sees adolescents, I was immediately shut down. I was told the art therapist only typically sees 15+. There wasn't even a consultation offered to see if the fit would be there. Other mental health professionals have commented on my stepdaughter's maturity and vocabulary for years, because she's anything but typical. If you're looking for actual help, call somewhere else. This place is where you would call to be told they can't do anything to help.”

“This place really deserves no stars instead of one. When I called to make the initial appointment they were clueless as far as insurance goes. How do you not know what insurances you accept? When we went to check in for the appointment the woman (office manager? Not sure) was very rude. We were already in the session speaking to the counselor when this same woman practically threw open the door and stated we had to leave now as the insurance would not cover it. Right in the middle of the session! The counselor was wonderful and told this woman it was fine she would go ahead and see us anyways she was not worried about the insurance, and she left in a huff. The next day the woman called me and stated that we could no longer go there as they were "not taking new patients" What the heck? Really? When I made the appointment no one advised me of that. This place is the most unprofessional medical office I have ever been to. HORRIBLE office manager. Do not go here!!”

“WOW ~ Where do I start, I’ve been going through therapy off and on most of my life. So I feel like I’m a pretty good judge of them and there officers. This office was recommended to me when my therapist she was leaving her practice. I was really really impressed with how calming this office was decorated, plus the TV was using relaxing videos w/natural sounds, perfect for smoothing your nerves, before your first encounter... or calming after a rush to get there. The Receptionist at the check in window was extremely helpful with the huge smile, took all of my paperwork, insurance drivers license.... the smiles have continued EVERY-TIME that I walk through there doors, plus a wave, from her, and other therapist that walk through the office. Super friendly!!! :) Now for my AMAZING therapist, Kori!!! My first day, I gave her a really bad time... she was so young, plus, I still was sad that my other therapist left. I was up front with Kori, I said that I didn’t think she would work out, but I would give her a chance.... cuz I don’t open up easily, if at all. Well as our therapy appointments advanced, I seen that Kori’s professional counselling showed me how qualified she actually was. Kori is so amazing as a therapist she has continued to stay educated to help her individual clients which provides excellent care, through logic and reasoning in such a wide variety of issues. Kori sincerely cares about her clients. She definitely has won me over I have no problem talking to her about anything she provides me with great options and opportunities for me to navigate through years/now issues that only a excellent caring qualified professional therapist can do. She continues to surprise me on how she can break down so many social barriers in such a short time, yet understanding that they have been cluttered around my head for years, years and years. They like to hide... whenever I think that I’ve gotten past it.... 💥bam its back. Kori’s professionalisms is outstanding, she knows that life happens, it’s okay!!! Well just keep doing our “positive” and move forward!!! I sure hope that you don’t ever leave, or if you do I hope you can take your clients with you!!! ;) Thanks For, Avalon Behavioral Health, PLC & Staff, and Especially my therapist, Kori Zimmerman :)”

“Not sure where to start. All of the staff are wonderful and understanding. Camille was a perfect fit for me and was great for my acute care. I was in a horrible place and she really kept me afloat. I only had to leave bc I was starting a new type of therapy. I might return for EMDR. It was proven very effective. 5/5”
