How likely are you to recommend Atrium Health Behavioral Health Psychiatry & Counseling?
“Atrium Health Behavioral Health went above and beyond my expectations. From the caring staff to the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility, everything reflected professionalism and compassion. There were plenty of activities and opportunities for people of all ages, and I always felt respected, heard, and supported. What stood out most was the genuine concern the staff showed for each person. The environment felt safe, welcoming, and focused on healing. The food was also excellent, and they were accommodating of my dietary needs as I begin my journey as a vegetarian. If I ever face another mental health crisis, this is an organization I would trust with my life. I am truly grateful for the care and support I received. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“This place needs to be permanently shut down and their entire staff needs to be barred from ever working in healthcare again. I saw Meghan Noble for a will and then I guess she disappeared? I tried to make an appointment one day and they said she was gone. No warning, nothing. Cool. So they set me up with a MALE provider without telling me he was man. They are fully aware I can only be placed with female providers. Now, they told me I need to make an appointment with Dr. Walson before I can get my next medication refill. If I don't get my medicine, I can have life-threatening withdrawals. They are FULLY AWARE of this. I called to make an appointment and "suddenly" Dr. Walson isn't accepting new patients. Well, I told the girl on the phone that I received a message from them specifically telling me to make an appointment with her, and that if I didn't get my medication, they would be held liable. SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!! This is a disgusting way for a MENTAL HEALTH DOCTORS OFFICE to act. You have patients who are mental struggling and you treat them like this? I know I'm not the only one who has been treated so horribly by this place.”
“Penny Hennessee is genuinely one of the kindest provider's I've seen. This isn't the first time I've seen her (but she was great then, too!), but I had to leave a review for this. I have PTSD that happens to be in the same general area as what I had come in for, which is something I'd mentioned in passing in a message through the patient portal half a year prior. During the visit, she made a conscious effort to change her wording to avoid any possible triggers, which surprised me and showed me she was paying attention to my history AND remembered or reread that message before my same-day visit! She was so helpful and attentive and really made me feel heard and calmed my nerves. :) Much appreciated!”
“I'm finally ok after a couple months to leave this review. I would give it less if I could. I went into this facility at the most vulnerable point of my life and they made me 10 times worse. Absolute worst staff and medical attention ever. I am legitimately sad and traumatized by my experience there. They broadcast themselves as a mental health facility, however, its more like a prison with awful staff that view you as less than human. I experienced the staff laughing at people going through severe trauma, I was HELD down to get my blood drawn when I have a severe phobia to intervienious needles to the point I was crying my eyes out at 6 am. I grabbed the nurses coat out of just a reaction to my trauma and she told me "not to touch her" like I was trash. That's what you are to them. Trash. I had EXTREMELY high blood pressure. One of the staff faked my blood pressure. The other nurse told me "you just have anxiety, you need to calm down. " I couldn't sleep I was told it couldn't sleep on the floor when I had a SEVERE allergy to the bedsheets. I was so red and my skin was turning hard. I wasnt even allowed a benadryl until I saw a doctor days later and he finally listened to me. This IS NOT A MENTAL HEALTH FACILTY. I would never put a loved one through this trauma. I came out shaken so bad it took me months to recover. I have several people I made contact with and we all feel the same. I know this job is taxing, but find another profession if you don't care ab your patients. Horrible experience I'll always have ptsd about.”
