What patients say on Google

“I had a great experience with TMS therapy with Chris. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about TMS and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. TMS has drastically reduced my depression symptoms, and I’m so grateful I decided to give it a try. Chris was also amazing when it came to getting everything approved through insurance. I had no issues at all, and it’s clear that she genuinely cares about helping people get the treatment they need and deserve. I also want to thank Lainey. I’ve been seeing her for years for depression and anxiety/OCD, and she has always made me feel supported and never judged. She’s compassionate, easy to talk to, and has been a consistent source of support throughout my treatment. I’m very grateful for the care I’ve received and would highly recommend this practice!”

“The lack of communication and complicated billing you experience at this office is worth it for Meredith Jones. She’s incredible, helpful, caring, perceptive, professional, and truly makes you feel seen and heard as a patient. She’s the reason I stay with Athens Behavioral Medicine 🙌🏻 SO THANKFUL for her and highly recommend.”

“Absolutely amazing practice (providers and staff alike)! I have a moderate level of anxiety in regards to seeking psychiatric treatment, but shortly after entering Philip Sangster's office I felt at ease. He actually listened to what I had to say, was understanding and respectful, and was open to me about my medication's potential side effects and how my treatment would be conducted going forward. Also the staff in the front were all very kind. They answered my questions without hesitation, and were patient with me regarding my sometimes debilitating speech impediment. Most notably though, PHILIP SANGSTER IS AWESOME!!! PS: The waiting area has this really cool painting of a fish looking in a mirror, huge props to whoever did that.”

“Update: they made sure to send me a bill after my portal was disabled. Don’t know the balance and no records for my FSA. Buuuut, I found NGPG PSYCHIATRY AND WOW! I’m doing so much better. Turns out I’m not bipolar at all so I was being mistreated by this facility. I’m not adhd, not bipolar, nothing they said I was. Big chance I won’t be on meds forever like Philip said. This has been a blessing in disguise!! I’m saddened by this facility. For 2 years I paid out of pocket. Threw myself at the mercy of them after a loss with nowhere to go and I trusted this place. For what reason, idk. Philip maybe, but who knows. And when my husband got so bad depressed, I offered him this place thinking it was helping me. Turns out, we left worse than when we came and now withdrawing together from being left hanging over a balance of $200 and something. 1 bill. 1. And they wouldn’t see him. He needed to pay. my husband had been waiting for this appt bc he was struggling, I even took time off work to be there to maybe have a group session and we were refused. I’ve paid out of pocket to these people for 2 years and we had just paid $500 to them the month prior. He asked to be referred somewhere and they said ok. Then I find out later they have no true referall process, ok so you were gonna let him leave thinking someone would call and help? I removed us as patients after speaking my mind in the portal and then was removed access from the portal by them so I can’t access my billing statements for my insurance claims or my records or medications, without notice. Pretty sure that violates HIPPA rights somehow but I’ll find out when I call the board of medicine and find out. This business can’t obviously help someone who’s bad off, they make it worse then don’t want to deal with you. I know I was angry in the portal but I have bipolar disorder, not treated well, what did you expect to happen? There answer, deny me and access to my records. That’s ok. Everything comes full circle. But no, would not recommend if you have serious health issues.”
