What patients say on Google
“This is the first time I am writing a review, but it is worth it. Dr. Long is phenomena!!!! Not only is he a fantastic psychiatrist, he is such a caring and warm person! Dr. Long has helped me so much. He has helped me with my mental and physical disorders. He is very supportive, a strong communicator and checks in with me. He is a trust worthy therapist and has put me on life saving meds,( my previous psychiatrist was awful, did not listen to me at all, had me on the WRONG meds! I do not mean to bad mouth her, but to put it lightly, she sucked) No matter what I am going through, he helps me so much and continues to not give up on me! I highly recommend Dr. Long!!! I will stop now, I could write a book about this person!!”
“Dr. Long is the best doctor I’ve seen! I move frequently for work so I have been through many doctors for medication for ADD and anxiety. He has by far been the best and easiest person to talk to. I unfortunately moved out of state and can no longer see him. I really appreciate everything he has done to help me!”
“If you are considering a psychiatrist, please read this for me. My spouse is going through a very difficult time and send an email to Dr. Long and he accommodated him the next day. As a wife worried about her husband, this goes above and beyond and is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and attention to him today.”
“My review is purely based off my interaction with the assistant, Wes, and nothing more. I had gone through their website to become a patient and set up an appointment for September 8. The next day I received an email telling me my appointment was rescheduled for September 1 and that I needed to verify. I also recieved a text stating the same thing so I quickly responded to the text to verify. I then went to fill out the forms sent to me but noticed there were several copies of each. I thought this odd but assumed it may be a technical issue or forms were sent accidentally. I went on to fill out one of each and left it at that. My appointment came around and I waited in the Doxy.me waiting room for around roughly 20 minutes before emailing Wes to confirm there was no miscommunication with the doctor. Wes responded by telling me my email was rescheduled and that he had tried contacting me via email and phone and I never responded. I sent a screenshot of my response to the text message I had received, making sure the time it was received and the time I responded were visible. I had also clicked the link in one of the messages I received the day it was sent for it to tell me I had already verified my appointment. Being a little annoyed with the situation, I called and spoke with Wes. He told me his calls had gone straight to voicemail and that he left messages. I explained maybe there was a mishap or issues on my part because I saw no calls from the number he stated he called from and I had no voicemails. He then told me Dr. Calvert could only see one person a day and had rescheduled me for the 22nd of the month. I asked him to cancel as, after this experience, I'd much rather deal with a different office. He wrapped the conversation up with saying "Okay, have a good day." before hanging up. Being a potential first time patient I found this whole experience troublesome and backed my whole reason for not wanting to reach out and seek help in the first place. The rescheduling of appointments the very next day and not informing me of my second rescheduling until AFTER I had already been waiting for what I believed to be my appointment time was a prime example of how not to handle your potential clients. I do not know if Wes is a new employee there or if maybe there were other issues at hand. All I do know is that my experience was soured and I have no intention of trying with this establishment again. Again, my review is purely based off interactions with the assistant, Wes. No one else. Since it seems that he would be the one I mostly interacted with in the future in terms of scheduling, I'd much rather find a more competent location that I would feel far more comfortable with and hopefully they will be able to communicate and scheduling issues in a more timely manner rather than waiting till I've waited at a believed appointment and then only telling me about the change when I reached out.”
