What patients say on Google

“Title: Clear Communication and Care Coordination Needed I want to share my experience with Aspire Hospital regarding a loved one. When I first called to verify their medication list, the nurse was unclear, and the doctor never returned my call. I was reaching out because the patient’s behavior was concerning, potentially dangerous, and appeared worse than when they first arrived. The patient was later transferred to Conroe Emergency due to tremors, but the hospital reported that all tests came back normal. The next day, the patient ended up in the Methodist Emergency Room because their arms were flailing uncontrollably, their legs were swollen, and they were experiencing severe head pain. Finally, I was able to speak with the caseworker at Methodist Hospital, who said she could not obtain the full medication list and that Aspire had not allowed the patient to return. Once the team—including the caseworker, the nurse who confirmed the diagnosis, the pharmacy, and Dr. Heran, a knowledgeable psychiatrist who clearly explained the best next steps—coordinated a transfer to Kingwood Pines, the patient began to stabilize and communicate more clearly. I want to emphasize that I am sharing this to inform, not to harm. At one point, when I called because the patient sounded worse and spoke with the nurse, the doctor contacted a family member, reportedly due to concerns about potential legal issues. I did not fully understand this action, but it added confusion during an already stressful time. Overall, this experience highlights the critical importance of clear communication and coordination between hospital staff, caseworkers, and family members during urgent situations.”

“Wouldn't even get 1 star. Didn't even make it to the facility yet and I already see its going ro be an issue. Male receptionist attitude is not compatible for the position. His tone and demeanor are disgusting. Im sure this isnt the first time heard.”

“My mother was just discharged from this facility. In her opinion the staff and nurses were super nice and sensitive. However she is extremely dissatisfied with the doctor that was assigned to her - Stacie Russell. In our interactions and experience also, both with staff and the doctor, we felt the same. The doctor did not want to take our concerns into consideration. Made no effort to take any interest in future treatment when we asked for her advise. Focused only on negative traits that my mother was showing without offering any positive support in form of medicine/therapy or anything else. Very disappointing and waste of time and money. Cold and insensitive doctors can be as bad for health as mental disease itself.”

“I went for a multitude of reasons looking for help. The groups did help offer advice and tips, but they also just had the same printouts laying out. I could have saved myself the money and printed them myself while staying home. The nurses were rude, and even one went as far as mimicking me. They’re strict about their times since they believe a routine helps, but hopefully your coping mechanisms can wait to fit their schedule. Can’t get anxiety medicine when you need it because it isn’t med time yet. Can’t speak to family/support because it’s not phone time yet. Spoke to one doctor 2 times over video conference. The only thing he cared about was what the nurses had to say, didn’t listen to anything I said, and only changed the meds. Do yourself a favor and just find a therapist/psychologist or even group therapy for yourself instead of paying well over a grand to be treated like less than a person. Also, good luck protecting yourself from whoever else may be there. The workers will lie to your face, and nothing will be done other than keeping each other separate for a few days. They will not respect you here, and they will not get you the proper help you need.”
