What patients say on Google

“This place saved my life and I’m forever grateful that I got my life back. Don’t mind calling because you probably won’t get an answer. They treated me amazing. All the nurses and most of the tech are phenomenal and the food is good. I was put on Xanax when I was 19 years old and it didn’t catch up to me until 2020 in a car wreck, 30 years later. I woke up in surgery on oxycodone and continue taking it for a couple weeks. Then I re-tore and started oxycodone again. High doses of Xanax and low doses of oxycodone do not mix well. Justin in intake is phenomenal and deserved to run this place. He would hold the doctors and the NP’s accountable. My NP was Amy. She was OK in the hospital. At my discharge, I filled out all the paperwork and even reviews. I actually felt conned. When I read my discharge paperwork, they only called in one prescription and I needed several to survive. I told them I was not leaving and they pushed me out. Money maybe? Dr. Kaap knows my situation and said he would review my PCP until I found one. That was a lie. Amy, my NP was supposed to call the rest of the prescriptions in and unfortunately it took her three days. I called every single day, begging her. Finally, I called some other overhead manager and the prescription came through, but one major one was wrong. She failed to put a diagnosis code on it. I was horribly sick for three days after discharge waiting on Amy to call in my prescriptions. I spent several hundred dollars going to urgent cares. Finally, I called Justin, whom should be running this place and 15 minutes later the diagnosis code was there. Either Amy is overworked and needs help or just flat out incompetent. Take a vacation, Amy. You seem jaded! But all in all St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson saved my life And I’m forever grateful. The nurses in detox are phenomenal, and most of the techs are as well. Food is good and you learn a lot about yourself and some techniques they teach you. I’m proud to say I’m Xanax free after 30 years of using it. Amy has very little compassion on me for some reason. I plan to go to school a little more and try to work in this place and fill it with love. If Amy didn’t leave me completely sick and bedridden for three days, I would’ve gave this place a five star. I guess every place has a rotten apple. Rotten apple needs to be talked to and disciplined. All of us are there to heal. It’s hard to do with people like Amy. God Bless St. Vincent Hospital!”

“This place changed my life. I attended a few months ago. The discharge social worker led & guided us through group. We did a breathing practice that i still use to this day and is the only thing that brings me back to managing my thoughts and emotions. I really hope she is still there & receives the credit she deserves. Thank you to her & the wonderful therapist i was assigned. They truly have the heart for this field.”

“I was here once in mid 2024, just no. The fact we could barely communicate with other kids is wild. Only during group activities and I cant just keep talking to the wall bru”

“This fool finally kicked one habit that needed to be kicked a long time ago. We all know what it is. I just spent four days in the Anderson center, and the care and compassion those people showed me, along with the same from a very old friend of mine who's shown so much grace and patience and stature that it is astounding to me, so I won't name him. He knows who he is. I've conquered a mountain with the help of a great many people that I am extremely grateful for. Thank you all with the dearest, deepest gratitude I know how to give. I make a solemn oath; their gift will last a lifetime.”
