What patients say on Google

“I just got out of the impatient today for alcohol detox mostly. I would like to say I had a wonderful experience there. The staff was very kind, caring, and understanding. I really enjoyed the O.T groups ( 9:15 am,11:15 am, and 1:00 pm) and the MT music therapy (Mon-Fri) (4:15 p.m and 7:15 p.m) of this time of writing. The blanket(s) were really comfortable, with more privacy: a private bathroom with a shower - much better than some others I went too. Plus you have a beautiful view of downtown with sunrises and sunsets. Food was pretty good, and many choices for those with dietary restrictions. There's a TV, books, magazines, and coloring sheets as well. The one nice thing was that for me who struggles with nightmares and insomnia - I was able to walk the unit floor after 11 p.m still. So the staff is pretty understanding about those who really have a lot of thoughts keeping them awake. I really do hope the staff team sees this comment - they really did a wonderful job and kept everyone safe, comfortable, and there for them when the patient just needed someone to talk to! Be safe and be well! Remember tomorrow is another day. -Alexandra Z.”

“Behavioral Health clinic nurses and Records department staff are dismissive of requests and inquiries. Every time I called to inquire on the status of a form that I needed filled out by the prescribing doctor, I was pushed off to another staff member, office, or department. I left voicemails and received no return call. I waited a month to receive the form I needed filled out. Every time I actually was able to speak to clinic or department staff, they stated they couldn't help me with my request and then transferred me to someone else who would say the same thing. I guess it's no ones job to assist callers and complete job duties or follow up.”

“Went inpatient voluntarily. This is one of the better ones Ive stayed at. I like the room was single and there was a private shower and no beds were locked. Only thing i didn't like was there was no explanation of rules and regulations, or what to do about needing a new hospital gown, robe, socks, toiletries- i had to ask another patient. Every time I asked the nurse for something, theyd forget. If youre busy and understaffed, i dont know tell me and bring a notepad so you know. I literally asked for towels and i asked someone else who asked the original nurse did she ask for towels which she said no which was a lie. Also when I saw the housekeeper did she clean my room and she said yes and i looked and nothing was cleaned. The meds? They dont give you the correct ones at the time thats needed. I like there were groups at 915 1115 and 1 but no real getting to the root of why we are there and what we can do to prevent repeat hospitalizations but after that absolutely nothing but TV and books. And when im anxious enough and can't concentrate that doesnt help. The food was good though. But please have a handout of what to expect while someones inpatient because i was like a wondering kid trying to figure things out.”

“If you’re vulnerable or sensitive do NOT select Trudie Johnson for your psychiatrist. I’ve been a patient here for over 10 years and have come to expect greatness. Im devastated by her rudeness, she’s overworked with hundreds of patients ( she actually told me so!) and will make rash and inappropriate conclusions about what you are! Just HORRIBLE. I left there crying and never want to go back.”
