“I've been coming here for over 4 years and I have no complaints. Not sure what's with the other reviews but Arista is diligent, caring, and friendly. The psychotherapists and psychiatrist respect one's choices and decisions when it comes to talk therapy and medication. No one is "forced" to do something they don't want to. When seeking treatment, obviously, if you don't hear back, you should call again. You're not their only potential patient, so........”

“The receptionists here are horrible. Called in May to get an appointment was told the wait time is a month. Fine. Got called in June the receptionist took my info and after getting my info she said she'll call back to set up appointment. After few mins received a call from different receptionist asking for same info. After going back and forth few times they told me again that they'll call back. Never heard from them since. Deserving of 0 stars. Reading other reviews I must've dodged a bullet.”

“Warning: For people who are feeling vulnerable, go somewhere else. these "therapists" are manipulative and will pull you into scarily codependent "counseling" sessions. It appears that the therapists themselves need psychotherapy as well - this can be noted after observing them in the at times unprofessional and disruptive waiting room and in individual sessions. Some of the receptionists/help staff including the therapists are immature/unprofessional make insensitive comments/glare at and make patients feel stigmatized. The overall feeling of the center is a sorority. The "mental health professionals" lack insight and knowledge needed to effectively guide patients into healing. You will soon get a sense that they just want you to come back for "sessions" to bill you. Be mindful of the further damage and trauma that being treated by someone who is ill equipped to deal with your particular issues could do - not all therapists and help staff are as competent in understanding the importance of sensitivity and confidentiality and needs of patients going in for treatment.”

“This therapist Karen Laughton put the office phone on speaker in order for her friends to listen to me taking to her while I was in session. I report it to the manager at the time and they did nothing whatsoever. They're a bunch of garbage working at Arista Center in Forest Hills stay away from that place.”
