“Very unprofessional. We scheduled an assessment here and waited several months for it. 1.5 weeks before the appointment, Lindsay King reached out to schedule our intake. Unfortunately, due to being very ill, I accidentally missed the virtual intake appointment. I reached out and apologized profusely for wasting her time. Lindsay stated she could not reschedule for a few weeks, but confirmed we would still proceed with the assessment as scheduled. I was so relieved, because most providers in our area tend to have months-long waiting lists. Our appointment was supposed to be at 9am. We arrived at 8:50 and the office was not open. We waited in our car and came back in right before 9am. There was no reception staff, but a man who was there asked which clinician we were working with. We told him Lindsay King, and he assured us she would be with us within a few minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting, we emailed Dr. King to make sure we were still on for the day. After 45 minutes of waiting, we left. Upon leaving we received an email reply that someone named Rachel was out today and we would have to reschedule. I'm disgusted. I don't know if this is some sort of retribution for having missed the intake, or what. But it is not okay to not inform your patients that you simply do not plan to come in. We drove there in awful weather and wasted a lot of time. We will be sharing this feedback with the provider who referred us here. We will be taking our business elsewhere.”
