How likely are you to recommend Appleton Mental Health-Psychiatrist?
What patients say on Google
“Every interaction/appointment with these wonderful, professional, and exceptional individuals at this office has ALWAYS been beyond amazing. Finding providers who listen, care, and provide excellent service is rare! If you are reading this and looking for excellence —> HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!”
“What do you say about a team who is saving your spouse’s life? Dr. Appleton and Marsha are helping her more than any other mental health providers have ever been able to do. They make the perfect treatment team; him with his professional training and therapy based approach providing strategies to help depression and anxiety, while she brightens your day and makes you feel special with her positive vibes and spirit. The clinic runs like a well oiled machine and does anything to accommodate your schedule and needs. They have both gone so far above and beyond the standard care. I cannot say enough good things or recommend them more. Than you Dr. A and Marsha.”
“I went to Appleton for Spravato treatment and found the experience disappointing. While I could overlook the cold atmosphere, the most upsetting incident involved the nurse that conducted my insurance overview. I was there seeking help for depression, and after I passively mentioned my recent weight gain, she immediately and unnecessarily interjected with a dismissive: "You need to lose the weight”…..well CLEARLY. The nurse offered zero clinical probing, asked no questions about the cause or if I was already addressing it, and showed zero compassion. This commentary immediately threw me off and left a bad taste in my mouth, though I did grin and bear the duration of the appointment. Unfortunately, the administrative side was just as frustrating. There was a complete lack of urgency; days passed after my referral, forcing me to chase them just to schedule an initial appointment. This chaos only worsened when I decided to leave. Weeks after I notified Appleton I was going elsewhere, the pharmacy and my insurance company reached out to me, confused, because Appleton had repeatedly failed to communicate my status change as a patient, despite several attempts to contact them. This confirms I probably would have constantly been left to manage the administrative mess had I remained a patient. Also, once they finally got a hold of someone, Appleton told the pharmacy to put the medication on hold until I was ready instead of disclosing that I was no longer a patient which was odd to me. I will give grace and acknowledge that there appeared to be only one person managing the front desk, suggesting the role is likely understaffed and overloaded. I switched to another provider, and the difference was night and day, confirming that the slow, frustrating process I endured is absolutely not normal, despite being told otherwise by the desk attendant. I also noticed a five-star review left by the front desk attendant, which makes me uneasy about the facility's attempts to inflate their rating. I recognize administrative complexity exists behind the scenes, but from my perspective as the patient, the entire intake and scheduling process felt significantly chaotic and lacked clear communication, especially after seeing how another facility handled the exact same process.”
“I have been going here for years now and they are all extremely nice to me. I have not had the experience as the recent person claimed. My insurance is not a problem and the people there really care about you. Marsha is one of the main reasons I keep going there. She is always kind to me, always calls me back, will reschedule anything if needed, and always gets me in. She makes me feel like a family member, as does the rest of the staff there. You have to trust the people that provide your mental health care, and these people are trustworthy.”
