“Went through a total of three therapists within only a few months. One who dismissed me entirely on recent trauma telling me that I needed to think about how someone else felt because I asked her to make a simple apology, the other was not a nice person and the last I tried really hard to make work. I was working six days a week and only could get in with this therapist early in the morning on my one day off, now this wouldn’t have been an issue if she ever actually showed up or if she has stopped canceling literally minutes before my appointment times when I’d be up for an hour getting ready and already too wide awake to sleep again. The worst part? They still billed me for these appointments I never had and some even got billed for appointments /I/ didn’t show up for and she was TOTALLY there. She wasn’t and I called the office after every missed appointment to inform them that I, once again, had my appointment canceled through an email from the therapist due to forgetting a dr appointment every damn week I called the office one morning almost in tears because I desperately needed to talk to my therapist but of course it was canceled last minute again, I was fully reprimanded by the desk staff on the phone for not clicking on a Tele health link from a week ago and gas lit into believing that the therapists DONT send a link EVERY WEEK even though I literally would get a new link for the conference room every single week. When I tried to explain this to the girl at the desk I was blown off and told that I should have went back and clicked on the link from over a week ago and that I will be billed for missing my appointment as well as having a no show fee ? When I called later explaining I had received an email from this therapist that I hadn’t seen until a few hours after the appointment, and claiming her kids got sick for the third week in a row (this time was she forgot they had a Dr appointments at 8, my appointments were supposed to be at 8 every single week for two months at this point and I only had a total of MAYBE 4 appointments. Anyways. The email came through at 7:50 and she couldn’t be bothered to let me know ahead of time (this exact excuse was used COUNTLESS TIMES). I was told I was already being billed for it. The nurse practitioner they have here currently is really good and the only GOOD therapist I know that works at the Springfield location is named Dianne, she works with someone I’m close with so I was unable to see her myself. The front desk staff is a total hit or miss and a headache to deal with as they switch out constantly due to the company being such an absolute travesty. But word to the wise. Go somewhere else for therapy and don’t give these people the benefit of the doubt. My mental health got ten times worse after an incredibly traumatic incident that I was ALREADY suffering nightmares and the like from. I went here seeking help the help I desperately needed from the therapists I was assigned but didn’t receive that at all, not to mention being pushed aside almost every single week like I didn’t matter, which.. if you have mental health struggles that’s DANGEROUS. Especially where I was at this point in time. Please keep yourselves safe. I wasn’t originally going to write a review but seeing as my experience isn’t a one off freak experience and multiple people have had issues I see now this companies therapeutic services are lacking severely.”

“If you want consistent healthcare with good communication practices I reccomend going literally anywhere BUT here. And I'll start with the one big pro: they do respond and can place you on short notice if you're in desperate need of help. And for the rest: I was placed with an amazing therapist for the first couple of months before being informed she'd be leaving. Which is fine, things happen. However it got to the point where I ended up going between 4+ therapists in under a year and when you have mental health issues you know how tedious and annoying it is to rehash your issues to someone new and build up a new relationship over and over again. ½ the time I didn't click well with the therapist and I was stuck rehashing the same issues only to get—what I felt—was little to no proper care for them. I was also tossed around between psychiatrists & nurses—ones that didn't even work at this facility, which shows me that the entire network seems to be a mess. I have been trying to get back in with the one psychiatrist I did like after contacting her myself and have been told that the billing department needs to get a hold of me and I have paperwork I need to fill out. I've been told several times now and have heard nothing over the course of more than a month. I finally take it upon myself to find that there is a bill sitting there for over 900 that nobody has even attempted to contact me for in over a year—considering the large amount it feels incredibly sketchy. Not only that but the 'billing" page only offers the option to pay on it without offering you any insights as to where this bill came from, they don't offer the option to break it down and give you an itemized version on the portal—you have to find a way to get in contact with the very illusive billing department on your own and sit on hold for who knows how long. All in all it's a headache. Some of the people that work there (for the short term times that they do) are great but the company itself is a MESS and a total headache to deal with.”

“I had a bad experience with a therapist here that I felt was worth sharing to avoid others from experiencing the same narcissistic behavior. I lost my daughter to suicide a year and a half ago and started therapy sessions with Jenny Guzman and then a few months later my son passed away in his bed. Jenny was great at first but was extremely forceful when i missed an appointment due to depression & seizures. It was almost like she wanted to get than session in anywhere she could so she could get paid so she would call every day. At first I thought it was because she cared but 8 months later after having sessions with her once a week I decided to drop down to every other week because I was having multiple seizures a day and just couldn't do it. She 100% dismissed my health and got very aggressive and argued with me about it for several minutes. I had to put my foot down and insist that's what was best for me and she continued arguing. 2 weeks later we were scheduled for a session and I had several seizures so I canceled and she immediately dropped me as a client. She sent me an email informing me and didn't even have the decency to let me know over the phone. When things don't go her way she drops you and I have found her to be very unprofessional and extremely detrimental to my mental health. I do not recommend wasting your time on this individual.”

“I have only ever seen one other facility that operated in such disarray and used unscrupulous tactics to bolster their income. When I and my child started with Anew we were assured that, since we had psychiatric care for our medications, as well as physician care for our basic health needs, that we would not have to deal with their on staff nurse. Not only does doing so cause undue burden on our already hectic schedule, but it jeopardizes our care, as insurance only covers so many visits for psych related care a year. Meaning the extra visits Anew is now demanding puts our continuity of care and our financial security at risk. It is disgusting that no one seems to be on the same page at this company. It is further disgusting and disturbing that after I had to file a complaint about a Springfield office staff member talking poorly about clients, where she could be heard; and admitting that she had previously been cited for HIPAA violations where clients could hear her, they did nothing to rectify or remove this person. The same person also drives to work in a vehicle adorned with stickers that suggests the promotion of violence. This practice is obviously not in business to care for their clients, but only to bilk whatever money they can out of insurance. A quick look at former employee reviews on Indeed agree with this assessment. The long and short of it, do not trust your mental health to these people, their right hand has no idea what their left is doing and they just don't care, as long as they get their money.”
