What patients say on Google

“I have been meeting with Dr. Trinh since 2024, and I genuinely don’t have anything negative to say about him. I don’t just feel listened to during our sessions… I feel heard. One of the things I appreciate most is that treatment never feels one-sided. It feels like we work together to decide the best next steps based on my circumstances, concerns, and overall well-being. He genuinely values my input and takes the time to explain options instead of just pushing decisions onto me. He always makes sure I’m aware of important side effects, answers questions thoroughly, and has been responsive both during appointments and through the patient portal. I’ve never felt dismissed or rushed. I also appreciate that appointments are short and straightforward while still feeling productive and thorough. I rarely leave feeling confused or like my concerns weren’t addressed… and if I ever realize that I have more questions or concerns, Dr. Trinh is always quick to answer any additional questions that I have through the patient portal. It’s very clear to me that he cares about what he does and about his patients. If you’re someone who is tired of feeling dismissed, unheard, or like your concerns are being overlooked, I would absolutely recommend Dr. Trinh.”

“I had the most infuriating experience with this provider. I received a formal diagnosis of inattentive type ADHD through Mentavi and was referred to this provider from my PCP. After taking an additional QbTest through Lifestance and dropping another $180 in addition to the $189 spent at Mentavi, I had my first two sessions with his nurse practitioner. The first session, I was advised meds would be prescribed only after a series of tests. She was able to pull my QbTest results and forward them to Dr. Trinh and also went over the results with me. The nurse commented that, based on the high degree of lack of focus registered on the QbTest, it affirmed Mentavi's diagnosis of inattentive type ADHD. After all tests were submitted and reviewed, I was prescribed the lowest dose. A month later, I was titrated up to 20mg and started noting positive changes in energy levels. I was informed today's session would be with Dr. Trinh as a follow-up to see how I was feeling on the medication. After 5 minutes of briefly going over how my symptoms have impacted my life, including costing me my last two jobs, Dr. Trinh said he doesn't think I have ADHD and was discontinuing medication. At no point in session did he ask how the medication was working. At no point was I properly prepared to advocate for myself by outlining every facet of how inattentiveness impacts my life. To ask such a loaded question to an autistic person as: "can you describe how your symptoms have impacted your life from childhood until now?" is beyond negligent and shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how our brains operate. When handling loaded questions that require thorough, nuanced, and detailed answers, I need to write everything down! It takes me time to process and sift through everything. I can't possibly touch on all the ways the lack of focus and feeling overwhelmed by large tasks to the point of procrastination impacts my life in 2 minutes of talking! I was struggling to collect all my thoughts and felt rushed. After the session ended, I realized I missed out on talking about specific traits. To be told my traits weren't "debilitating enough" to be considered a disorder when they have cost me my last two jobs? I gently pushed back and asked about my Mentavi ADHD diagnosis and was told he didn't want to "get into a power struggle" and said each provider's assessment is subjective. I have never felt so dismissed and as if sessions were so unfriendly for those of us on the spectrum. Giving our entire life story and the impact AuDHD symptoms have on our lives in a total of three 10-15 minute sessions is impossible. I've sought a different referral from my PCP for a third opinion and will never use Lifestance again.”
