How likely are you to recommend Amethyst Recovery Center?
“Amethyst has been truly been an amazing experience for me. After being at multiple treatment facilities, I found that the people at amethyst truly do care about you and your recovery. Especially Kylie and Kim. Kylie the aftercare planner has made my entire experience so much more comfortable and Kim the alumni coordinator truly took the time to get to know me and help me when I needed it most. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs help.”
“I came to Amethyst Recovery back in May and I was out of control. I AMA and left because I wasn’t ready. Aaron welcomes me back with open arms and because of the staff and their genuine hearts to see me succeed I stayed and I completed the program and heading to PHP! If you’re serious about your recovery and willing to be teachable, I highly recommend ARC! Thank you to all the staff who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself!”
“I hope everyone searching for help reads this. I live out of state, and there's nothing like this in the state that I come from. From the moment I was picked up from the bus station to the moment I left, I felt nothing but pure love and caring and concern from all of the employees here. I'm an addict and an alcoholic , and I do have trauma in my past. Amethyst staff made sure that I knew each and every day that I was important , a worthwhile human being , someone worthy of having a great life again, and that I was the most important thing on their task list that day. Outside of the employees, doctors, nurses techs, therapists and facilitators, there are other things that are so positive about Amethyst's center. The facility was extremely clean. The cleaning people came in every other day to clean our rooms. The food was outstanding! I didn't have to cook dinner or clean up after it...which made it that much better. I dont eat pork or shellfish & that was no problem w/ the alternatives offered. I received more out of 4 one hour sessions with my therapist than I have received in my entire forty nine years on this earth put together. Amethyst has a program that suits everybody's needs. There are group meetings every single day , multiple times a day. There are individual meetings with you and just a therapist. There are one on one group meetings with your specific therapist. There is recreation for everybody. There are meetings each week with doctors , nurses , social workers and psychiatrists to make sure that you are staying on a healthy path for your specific journey. I hope I never have to go to another recovery center. But if I do , i'm never going to a different one. Amethyst saved my life.I would happily send my children here if they needed a recovery center. I would recommend the facility to anyone searching for a place to work through their trauma and addiction. One of the most important things to make is that once you are done with your time at Amethyst, they facilitate you and your next step in your journey, whether that be going home or going to another center for further help or speaking with a therapist or AA meetings, they don't just leave you high and dry at the end of your stay with them. Amethyst gave me a new lease on life , and I recommend it to anybody who needs that!”
“I wish I could give Amethyst a more positive review. Some of the techs were great including Bobby, Kila, and Leah. My first issue with this facility is that they hold patients’ discharge dates close to their chests until the last minute, especially when most of their patients are from out of state. This was a complaint I heard from multiple patients during my time there. We were told by staff that “as soon as we know, you’ll know,” as if it wasn’t them making the decision to keep people there as long as possible for arbitrary reasons. I’ve never been to a facility that does not tell patients their discharge date upon arrival, as it is usually 28-30 days from the date of admission. At Amethyst, patients are told that the length of stay can vary from between 30-35 days. There was little discussion as to why this was, all the while staff would parrot phrases that held going to groups or not against the chests of the clients, almost as if to justify this lack of clarity. They had an approval form process that meant they could also reject requests (such as using your phone for an urgent need) for arbitrary reasons, such as “not going to groups”, or “not engaging” with the program. The groups in question were extremely repetitive and uninspired. It was to the point that it was even more absurd that they held lack of attendance against patients. I am leaving this review not to bash on the facility, but to share my honest experience. I would not in good faith be able to recommend this facility to anyone, especially those from out of state, given what I stated above. It seems like they have a one-size fits all approach that does not cater to the needs of every individual patient. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and everyone will have a different experience, this is just my constructive criticism based on my time there.”
