How likely are you to recommend Alycia M. Brown, MD?
“I’ve been seeing Dr.Brown for almost 3 years now & she is by far the best psychiatrist I’ve had. After sifting through multiple who were eager to push medications and send me out the door, it was refreshing to have a doctor who actually took the time to find out what I wanted to happen in my treatment plan. Dr.Brown is the perfect balance of personable and professional and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking psychiatry care in the high country.”
“Dr. Brown is an excellent and experienced psychiatrist. She has won best psychiatrist in Watauga County for the past three years. Her treatment approach is holistic and incredibly personal. She is kind and committed to helping patients make informed decisions about their psychiatric care. If you are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, or eating disorders I could not recommend her more.”
“Dr Brown has stuck with me through thick and thin, with my mental health. She is one of the main reasons I’m able to live a normal life. I highly recommend her.”
“Doesn’t care is right. I’ll never forget the day she cared more about figuring out whether I owed her dough (BCBS, she should’ve known I was covered) than my mental health. She couldn’t find me in whatever platform she uses to “manage” clients. Her joke if you wanna call that as she wasted my time, energy and financial resources was “hahaha, it’s almost like you don’t even exist”. I left that meeting feeling so down, defeated and helpless as I struggled at my worst. For anyone in need of a substance abuse counselor I can highly recommend Mike Vannoy. All of the money I gave to Alycia, it was worth it to spend some time with him. Best regards, A client that nearly had mental health treatment ruined by a callous, supposed professional. Look elsewhere. Edit: 10 month follow up, I’ve since found a great clinic that’s far more professional, understand, less expensive and as you can see by the response below a bit more accountable to criticism. Rather than take what I said in stride, Alycia instead hopped on here with excuses for her words and actions, with what could be taken as a challenge to come dragging back in to such a wonderful clinic. I’ll have you know I found the exact help I was looking for, and I knew was out there. You can try to tell clients how their life went and how it will go but I think you’ll be better off seriously reflecting on your deep lack of empathy. These issues are totally separate from the operational/logistical ones (that you conveniently ignored). For folks of my class Alycia, word is all we have… For you and your assistant to put me in a bind financially when you double back on an ESA arrangement? You call that help? Sickening beyond belief, but you fit right in with the wealth extracting class so.”
