How likely are you to recommend Ally Psychiatry - Gadsden?
What patients say on Google
“Staff was perfectly nice, but very ineffective. Front desk said they scheduled my follow-up, but didn't. I had to call multiple times to get my medication - it took over a month! Said they would call me back, but didn't. I was lucky I had extra medication from my previous doctor. When I finally did get my medication they charged me for another visit! Would not recommend.”
“Before Ally took over River Region Psychiatry Associates, everything was in order. I felt seen, heard, and understood. I never had any problems reaching the office or my provider. However, since Ally took over it has been nothing but chaos and confusion. In the last 6 months they have not called in the right amount of refills for my medicine, causing me to run out & go into an episode. I would call & call numerous times and could never get anyone to answer the phone at any extension. I left messages on the patient portal with no answers. There are messages still sitting with high priority to the clinical staff unopened & unread. It has been a nightmare! The provider Haley Somano that I was seeing left the company, and the new provider they had me see, Victoria Smith, was very impersonal & did not seem to care about what it was I needed. All I got was, “The doctor might not call these in because you haven’t had an evaluation.” Although, I had already been on the medicine for several months before. Billing is absolutely insane. I received a bill for the entire amount of a session where they did not run or submit a claim to my insurance company, even though I’ve had the same insurance company since January. I would give it 0 stars if I could. I hope this helps someone. I have gotten a new provider with Integrated Behavioral Health in Anniston, and I could not be happier.”
“Stay away from this place if you want to feel heard, understood and not judged for your neurodivergence. If I could give negative stars I would. My appointment was with Haley Samano. I was told my first appointment had to be in person but when I got to the office I was taken to a room then sat in front of a computer screen for a video visit, which had such a crappy connection that the video call froze multiple times. Not sure how that’s an in person visit. I have massive anxiety about doctors which I shared during my intake interview so this really threw me off since I wasn’t told until I was already in the treatment room. I wasn’t listened to nor was I even asked for my prior provider information so they could verify what I had been prescribed previously by a licensed physician (not just a glorified nurse). I tried to explain that benzos don’t help my anxiety and just exacerbate my depression and that my anxiety is from my adhd disregulation and fear of doctors. This fell on deaf ears and I was prescribed 2 benzo based meds, even after I shared that I have had passive suicidal thoughts in the past with them. When I explained that I had been on the same regiment of meds for the last 14 years, it also fell on deaf ears. I was also questioned about my weight and my appetite when I mentioned my adhd treatment. It felt like I was being judged like I was some trailer park crackhead. I was also questioned about why I hadn’t tried in patient treatment. Haley should not be allowed to treat anyone. She doesn’t listen or care and lacks the knowledge and experience to treat anyone. And if you disagree with her, you get a condescending response like she magically knows best even though she’s only spent 15 minutes with you. Luckily I have had good providers in the past and know how I respond to treatments bc I have a very experienced based fear that if I were to take the meds she prescribed, I’d be close to suicidal. Any good mental health provider knows that anxiety is a symptom of adhd and the adhd should be treated first and then the anxiety. I don’t appreciate some random lady coming into my treatment meeting with a preconceived notion, having barely read my intake paperwork and being completely ignored when I disagree with what she thinks. Overall my interaction with this practice and particularly Haley has worsened my mental state significantly. I would stay far away from this provider if you want actual help.”
“Im suppose to see a therapist here next week and I came by to see the reviews because I'm so nervous opening up to new doctors and these comments have definitely helped me make the decision to keep the appt or not! And I definitely need someone thats reliable and consistent not getting ignored or having to do it over the phone. I cant build a trusting relationship over the phone so thanks everyone for the information!”
