“My experience with this office has been very frustrating. Communication is one of their biggest issues. I left several voicemails and spoke with the receptionist multiple times regarding a referral for a therapist, but I never received a response from the providers or any follow-up. I was also charged without my authorization for my $170 ADHD assessment and genetic testing. When I met with my provider, Shantrice, she never reviewed my test results with me and gave me information that later turned out to contradict the actual results. It wasn’t until I had a later appointment with Dr. Burns that the results were finally explained. Although I was disappointed that my concerns about the earlier misinformation seemed to be brushed aside, I do want to acknowledge that I appreciate Dr. Burns’ attention to my mental health and her willingness to help me find the right treatment. My concerns are primarily with the office’s communication and administrative processes. Another major issue was getting a prescription refill. I repeatedly reached out because I was about to run out of medication and explained that it was time-sensitive, yet I still went several days without a response or refill. Communication was consistently poor, and the administrative side of the practice was lacking. Whether the office is understaffed or poorly managed, the experience left me feeling unsupported and frustrated. I hope the office addresses these communication and organizational issues so future patients have a better experience.”

“I love Dr. Burns! She is great. She really knows her patients and I could not recommend a better doctor. However, I did have an issue that made me consider switching. I reached out to the office on from Tuesday to Friday via calls, portal messages, and Walgreens. The front office group did not message me back, email, or return any of my calls. The office was closed for a time, but the contact started before then. I have never had an issue with a front office group not returning any correspondence for nearly a week. Then, when they finally did reach out with a message, it conflicted the information on their website.”

“Dr. Burns is the best mental health professional I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. During my appointment, she listened, she joked, and she was an open book as well. It felt as though I was talking to a friend, and it made me much more relaxed.By the end of the appointment, I felt as though I had just made a new best friend. I cannot recommend Dr. Burns and her staff enough. Everyone is sweet as can be and treat you like family. I had not seen a mental health professional since I was a teenager. My experiences at that time made me never want to see one again. However, as I get older, my mind is harder to control, and obviously, there are many more stressors between 19 and your 30s. I was used to psychiatrists being very robotic. Dr. Burns has turned my viewpoints around. She has truly changed my life, even through my first appointment. I now feel comfortable speaking about my issues without worries of being judged or ignored. So I just want to say a HUGE thank you to Dr. Burns and her staff, and I will definitely be recommending my friends and family to your practice.”

“I've been seeing Dr. Burns for about 2 years and she and her staff have been so helpful in getting my condition diagnosed and managed with medication. I was really nervous to start the diagnosis process and go through evaluations, but she made the process very smooth and answered all of my questions. Even when dealing with shortages of certain medicines, she and her staff have been super responsive in figuring out other options and following up with the pharmacy to make sure everything gets taken care of.”
