What patients say on Google
“My brother has been a resident ar Albany Care for over 30 years. We luckily found it after three horrendous experiences at other facilities. I have been on many floors of the facility over the years and found it to be as clean as possible, considering some client's hygiene habits. My brother likes the food very much. The staff and nurses overall have been good to great, but as in all these places, there is high turnover due to poor wages. It is my impression that Albany has experienced issues since ownership changed hands a few years back, however, it's staff is still keeping the place in my opinion as one of the better facilities in the area.”
“All the staff is very friendly, the doctors come to the facility and help me manage my social security. Amenities are great, very comfortable environment, coming up now on 10 years.”
“I drove by twice on Main Street within 30 minutes. Each time I drove by in one of the doorways were people exchanging money for drugs. This was between noon and 1:00 on June 8th. I'm sure Albany care knows but chooses to do nothing about it because each residents are dollars in their pockets.”
“I stayed at this place for two weeks in November of 2022. The beds had bed bugs, the rooms were infested with German roaches. The bathrooms were filthy, I barely felt comfortable taking a shower. The staff were rude, the hallways smelled like cigarettes, booze, and vomit. The food they served was just slightly better than going hungry. Thankfully if you didn't like the options you could have cottage cheese and fruit. They claim to have engaging activities for the residents but it was sorely understated. I stayed here because of homelessness and a severe mental health crisis. I had been estranged from my family for 5 years, but I could not live like this and begged my parents to take me in. thankfully they were gracious to me and I was able to leave. my heart goes out to those who have no other option. They deserve better. If you love your family member, don't ever let them stay here. I'm pretty sure that those in the prison system have a better quality of life than those who have to stay at Albany Care.”
