What patients say on Google
“My son was a client here for 5 years at least. In spring the counselor we had for a year quit. We had a new counselor and I actually was really hopeful things would get better, I actually felt like someone listened to me about my son's issues and actually worked to solve them instead of blame me for them. At the same time Sycamore school district was having to pay for an evaluation and therapy, due to a non-CPI certified staff member restrained my son. They were ordered to provide this by the IL System Board of Education. During the evaluation the counselor told me that there was indeed trauma there and after a long time I felt relief and that maybe Sycamore School District would be held accountable for their actions after years of gaslighting me. I got the evaluation back from the school district and it was complete opposite of what I was told. I talked to the counselor and even sent her a recording of the hearing that I had which said the staff at Sycamore Middle School had spoken to the police and they were the direct cause of his trauma. The counselor showed it to the supervisor who refused to listen and still stand by the School district instead of their client of at least 5 years. Then I sent over the report from the ISBE that the Sycamore School District never sent over. I was told that we had to wait for the district's response as to why they did not send any paperwork. By this time the ISBE accepted the first and incorrect evaluation. This was my last straw and I cancelled all my son's appointment. I have never felt so betrayed by a company and someone that would blatantly back the school district that has caused a client undue stress and trauma. Tread carefully when going here and know if you have any issues with the school district that the counselors will take the side of the school district and not the client because they don't want to make waves with the school district.”
“My son attends the trailblazer group sessions. The staff is excellent and the counselors are very kind and I love the outside the box approach to therapy and getting the kids involved in activities. Highly recommend!”
