How likely are you to recommend A Ray of Hope: Great Lakes Institute of Neurology and Psychiatry?
“Dr Bansel was great. When checking out the lady gave us the date verbally but not the time. We noticed the time when we got home. It’s very early but we will be there as the printout states. Next time I will need to read the appointment information more closely before leaving.”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I wish I could give more stars! My experience at Ray of Hope has been nothing short of exceptional. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Bansal, Carol, and Michael, and each one provided unwavering kindness and attentive care. When I decided to switch medications to safely prepare for pregnancy, Carol celebrated this milestone with me as I welcomed my first son! The support and encouragement I received made a world of difference during such an important time in my life. The only reason I had to leave this fantastic team is that I physically moved 15 hours away. Now, as I search for a new neurologist, I truly realize just how special the care at Ray of Hope is. The dedication and time they invest in their patients are rare to find elsewhere. Thank you all for everything! Your commitment to your patients is commendable.”
“I’m not sure if this place is just mismanaged, or is legitimately run and operated by liars and scammers. Called and made an appointment as a new patient with a new provider. Gave my insurance info, set the appointment, all was good. So I thought. When I went to do my pre-appointment check in they had me marked as “self-pay”. So I called and spoke to someone. Then another. Then another. In one day I’ve spoken to 3 different people and got 3 different stories. I had an employee tell me they have a note that they called me on 5/12 and spoke with me to tell me I’d be self pay - I pulled my May phone bill - nothing. On that day, or around that time. Liars. I was told that the provider I was set to see “doesn’t see patients from your network”. Despite her being an in network provider as listed on, and confirmed by, BCBS. She chooses not to honor that. So that was reported to BCBS to handle. At the end of the day psychiatric care is a dime a dozen and nothing makes this place special. Especially not their shady practices. Steer clear. Otherwise risk a colossal waste of time.”
“I've been receiving Spravato treatment for over a year here. Maria is the best. She is always professional and kind, and so, so helpful with appointments and making sure the space here is calm and conducive to the treatment. I really appreciate how much care she puts towards making the experience feel safe and positive, which is so important. Thank you!”
